I lost my 1000 dollar (CAD) and they haven't returned the amount of unfinished work. Brief: Webnotix reached out to me when I posted an ad for my e-commerce website. A person named Timothy approached me claiming that he can build the website for me. He told that Wordpress would be a better option for my website. After tons of research I thought its better to choose Shopify than Wordpress. Then Timothy called me and said Shopify have a lot of disadvantages and convinced me to build with website in Wordpress. I gave them total of 1 month and 10 days for the completion of the website. They have asked me for full 1000 dollars in advance. I paid them. On the 20th day, I called them and asked for the status. I reliazed they haven't even started the build. Waited again for 2-3 months but no progress. Each call Timothy says it will be completed in one or two days. At last, after a long months of frustrations of not meeting the timelines and losing money on the other side, I stopped the conversation and spending time for false promises. Now its been almost 4 months and they haven't returned the amount.

In early October, I started wondering whether I should hire a website developer to help build a site for my new family mediation business. I decided to post the job on Bark and received messages from about eight different companies. I scheduled interviews to find the right fit. The first interview I had was with Jay from 3 Ace Technologies—and we hit it off immediately. There was a warmth and confidence about him that made me feel he could bring my vision to life. Still, I kept interviewing. No one else came close. I chose to work with Jay and 3 Ace Technologies. From the very beginning, Jay understood that I had little experience starting a business or designing a website. He promised to guide me through every step—and he delivered. Jay took the time to explain the entire process, guided me on what I needed to complete, responded quickly to my questions and concerns, brainstormed ideas with me, and did everything possible to ensure I ended up with a website I loved. I’ll admit—I’m particular and detail-oriented. I often reviewed things and sent Jay a slew of messages, sometimes late at night. By morning, Jay would respond with affirming, supportive, and encouraging messages, always happy to make changes or do whatever was needed. His sole goal was to make me happy and deliver the product of my dreams. At times, his professionalism, kindness, patience, and willingness to go the extra mile felt almost too good to be true. For a juneteenth celebration the white lady who works there thought a picture of fried chicken with the words freedom would’ve been a good/acceptable ad campaign for a business I work closely with. Each year, I clearly communicated that I did not want ads to run during December, January, February, and March, since I’m an exterior contractor and those months are generally unworkable due to weather (snow and ice). ROI transparency was lacking despite high monthly costs, and misleading expectations about AI features for LSA required additional spending. The program’s focus on self-sufficiency ignored business growth. We learned that being the biggest doesn’t guarantee the best fit. Local accountability and transparency are crucial. We avoided double-spending by checking for software overlaps. Scorpion may work for others, but it wasn’t the right fit for us. We needed real leads, consistent reporting, and a team that followed through. We’ve since moved to a more personalized, performance-based team that aligns with our goals.

My husband, a plumber, placed blind trust in Scorpion, believing their team was handling things professionally and focusing on cost-effective lead generation. We paid $1,200/month for management plus $2,600/month in ad spend, under the impression that our campaigns were centered around Google LSA, which consistently produced the best ROI. Only recently — when I joined in managing the business — did we discover that a large portion of our budget was being spent on channels like Facebook and Performance Max that produced few to no clients, some at a cost of $900+ per client. Meanwhile, the most successful campaign (Google LSA) was receiving only a fraction of the budget. When we brought this to Scorpion’s attention, we were told that rigid AI-based budgeting and bundled directories made reallocation difficult. We were also promised a smooth transition when we canceled our contract, but even that has been mishandled — our LSA account was not successfully transferred. We’ve requested a modest reimbursement and short-term campaign support to ensure a smooth handoff, but our messages are now being ignored. I would not recommend Scorpion to any small business owner who values transparency, performance accountability, or client-first service.
