My company was called by JW Specialties (Janelle) in an emergency. She said her staff had forgotten to order flyer printing for an important client who owned a chain of Hardware stores in the Kansas City area. Our team expedited the printing to meet her ad deadline and expedited the shipping to see that the newspapers in the area received the flyers in time for them to be inserted prior to the date of the sale. Due to the quick (2-day) timeframe, we printed and shipped the product before we asked for payment. Once we did so.....crickets. Phone communications and email communications went dark. Janelle left us with a significant printing and shipping bill. A small business that will screw another small business like that does not deserve to be a partner in your business. In hindsight, my guess is that they weren't in a pickle because of a staff mistake, my guess is that they didn't pay the prior printer either, and they refused to print for her.
