  • Project Brief: Design a bilingual hiring platform for heavy industrial and construction trades where workers browse geo-fenced jobs without an account, see every requirement before they apply, and employers post with the exact fields candidates filter by, across iPhone, Android, a candidate web app, an Employer Web Portal, and an administrative application

Engineering apps mostly manage the project, while crew hiring still runs through job boards built for office work. CraftCore by Chop Dawg puts per diem, travel pay, and certifications in front of the worker before they apply, and in front of the employer before the interview.

Workers browse every live job without creating an account. Sign-in appears at the Apply button, and a requirements checklist on each posting lists what the profile still lacks, with one-tap links to close each gap and Apply disabled until the list clears.

Nineteen trade-specific filters arrive one at a time through step-by-step modals. Craft level, certifications, per diem, union or open shop, and location radius update results as each selection lands, and the employer posting form uses the same fields one to one.

The Jobs screen stacks search, sorting, and filters above the listings. A rounded search bar sits over Most Recent and Best Matches tabs, and a circular blue filter button leads a scrolling row of outlined chips for certifications required and per diem offered.

Job cards follow a fixed reading order on every screen. Company logo, employer name, bold job title, pay, and posting age appear in the same positions, and red flame tags reading “92% Match” mark top results on the Saves tab.

The Applications tab sorts every submission by status. Active, Closed, and Saves tabs split the list, and small blue dots label each card as Submitted, Shortlisted, or In Review.

Profile setup runs as a three-step hub with automatic saves. Basic Info, Trade Profile, and Documents each carry a mint green Complete chip, and a visibility toggle keeps the profile out of employer search until the worker applies.

Spanish works across the entire product from the first screen. A picker labeled English (United States) and Español (América Latina) opens onboarding, and job titles and descriptions are stored in both languages the moment an employer publishes.

An electric cobalt blue drives the palette, cut by sharp signal yellow wedges. The heavy italic CraftCore wordmark, angled frames around jobsite photography, a near-black header on the profile screen, and solid-weight icons follow the founding brief: bold, strong, clean.

The Employer Web Portal runs hiring as a pipeline. Applicant cards show craft, certifications, distance, and verification badges, and candidates move from New through Shortlisted, Interview, and Offer to Hired, with private one-to-five ratings across 10 categories.

A desktop admin app lets staff verify documents and edit the trade taxonomy without a developer. A certification added in the morning reaches employer postings and mobile filters that afternoon, and every sensitive action lands in an immutable audit trail.
