- Project Brief: Design a limited-edition collectible packaging series celebrating 40 years of Budweiser's FIFA World Cup partnership through nostalgia-driven visuals inspired by every tournament since 1986.
Beer packaging tied to a tournament usually reprints a logo and calls it a day. Budweiser's FIFA World Cup Anniversary Pack goes deeper, turning 40 years as official sponsor into 11 bottle designs, one per tournament since 1986.
The design system treats each bottle as its own era. Every label reinterprets a World Cup's visual identity, from Mexico 1986's geometric swirls to Russia 2018's ornament, so the set reads as a timeline you can hold.
Consistency binds the collection despite the variety. A shared bottle silhouette, the red crown, and the "official beer of the FIFA World Cup 2026" line keep 11 wildly different labels recognizably Budweiser on a shelf.
The pack extends into a full nostalgia platform. Housed in a collector's box with retro-styled memorabilia, the design turns "Budstalgia" from a tagline into an object fans keep long after the beer is gone.
