- Project Brief: Redesign Bamboo Insurance’s website with warm visual branding, clear paths for homeowners and agents, trust-building content, and an easy-to-manage CMS.
Legal and insurance websites usually default to corporate blue and cold stock photos. Big Red Jelly took Bamboo Insurance the other way, building a warm, human site that earns trust in a category where people walk in skeptical.
The palette does the heavy lifting on warmth. Burnt-orange buttons, a peach utility bar, and a sage accent soften the whole thing, so you feel at ease instead of bracing for fine print. Sunlit photos of families at home, tinted to match, pull you further in.
The two audiences get split right away. "Bamboo for you" and "Bamboo for agents" cards sit just below the hero, so homeowners and agents each land on their own path without digging through the wrong content.
Trust signals carry the sell without heavy copy. A 72 NPS, an 8 out of 10 satisfaction score, Google reviews, and Top Workplaces badges stack up as proof, which does more to reassure a nervous buyer than a wall of promises would.
The mobile action bar is the smartest touch. A sticky bottom strip keeps Home, Get a Quote, About, and a call button under your thumb, so the things an insurance shopper actually needs stay one tap away.
The one soft spot is the hero itself, where white text over a pale peach photo reads weakly and the H1 sits empty in the markup. That means your first and most important message is the hardest to catch, and screen readers miss it entirely, which is worth fixing before anything else.
