Team Behind the Design
  • Agency: Clay
  • Client: Tipalti
  • Category: Website Design — Banking & Finance
  • Location: San Francisco, California, United States
  • Project Brief: Redesign Tipalti’s banking and finance website with clearer information architecture, human-centered imagery, intuitive navigation, and a scalable design system that makes complex financial automation solutions easier to explore.

Finance websites earn trust faster when complex products feel simple to scan. Clay rebuilt Tipalti’s marketing site with a new content structure, fresh visual direction, and a design system that covers accounts payable, global payments, procurement, and employee expenses.

The hero pairs real people with live-looking finance data. A woman on a phone call sits behind frosted gray widgets showing a +$24,000 income payment, a $2,700 international donut chart, and a green trend line, so you see the product’s value before reading a word.

Warm amber yellow does the heavy lifting in a tight palette. It marks every main button, from Request a demo to Get started, while black, white, and soft gray keep the rest of the page calm and easy to read.

A mega menu turns a deep product suite into one clear view. Product names run down the left, feature rows with small yellow arrow icons fill the middle, and a black Integrations panel lists tools like Oracle NetSuite, Intuit QuickBooks, and Xero, so buyers can check fit in seconds.

Inter in Regular, Medium, and Bold sets a clean type system. Large tight headlines like Full control over finances sit above small pill tags such as Products and Testimonials, which label each section without extra clutter.

Reusable components keep every section consistent. The products block works as an accordion with a progress line beside a looping video, and the testimonials carousel stacks cards so a ServiceRocket quote leads while others wait behind it.

The layout adapts smoothly from desktop to mobile. On phones, a hamburger menu and swipeable feature cards, like the Tipalti card with its spending chart, keep the same look in a single column.
