Android Review from Mika Martin
I was highly pleased with my work with Pieoneers. Especially, with the level of attention and care I received. This stands out to me as I've worked with several highly skilled tech teams. Pieoneers stands out as leaders and early adopters in AI. They helped me take my Claude built prototype to a new level. Earn It is a productivity and self-motivation app. We aim to work with users across all platforms. We started with Android and Pieoneers is helping us add the iOS platform as well. Optimal backend architecture is also highly important and that's why we needed their expertise. Moreover, I appreciated how Pieoneers advised on our overall user experience and user onboarding. We have a lot ahead of us and the roadmap is regularly reviewed and adjusted. It's nice to have clarity and transparency as to the project phases to come. I highly recommend the Pieoneers team to founders and companies who are starting to build with AI and need a tech partner to support them and help evolve their products!
Viktor Soloviov, PhD
Technical Director at Teresius AI

Web Development Review from Viktor Soloviov, PhD
I have been working with Pieoneers for years on several AI and software development projects. Throughout that time, I have always been bringing research ideas and technical challenges to the team while they provided the engineering expertise to turn those ideas into working products. Our most significant collaboration has been Teresius AI, an AI-based financial market forecasting platform for cryptocurrency and Forex markets. The project started as research into applying neural networks to financial forecasting at a time when many of today's AI development tools did not yet exist. There were no established solutions, so success depended on experimentation, iteration, and a willingness to explore new technical approaches. Pieoneers developed the platform end to end, including the backend architecture, AI implementation, web application, server-side forecasting logic, and Telegram bots that generate forecasts across multiple timeframes. As the research evolved, the team continuously adapted the implementation while keeping the long-term product vision in mind. What impressed me most was their ability to solve technically difficult problems. They successfully applied new AI technologies to solve tech challenges and consistently turned research ideas into practical software. Discussions were always open and constructive. They were able to evaluate different approaches, explain trade-offs, and refine the applications. Today, Teresius AI is an active production platform used by financial market professionals and advanced users. This year alone, it has delivered more than 50,000 financial market forecasts, demonstrating that the research has evolved into software with real-world value. I have found the team to be technically strong, responsive to feedback. I would confidently recommend them to organizations looking for a software development partner capable combining AI technologies with practical software engineering.

As a client of Pieoneers, I feel it's important to share the remarkable journey we embarked on together with their team on a groundbreaking healthcare initiative. From our first interaction, it was clear that Pieoneers stood apart, thanks to their direct and impactful communication. This was a cornerstone of our project's success, enabling us to navigate our ambitious goals with clarity and precision.
Pieoneers didn't just understand our vision; they amplified it, crafting a platform that wasn't merely user-friendly but truly transformative. Our collaboration was built on a foundation of mutual respect and a shared ambition to drive meaningful advancements in healthcare.
Their commitment to our project and depth of technical knowledge were evident throughout. Yet, what truly set Pieoneers apart was their agility. Despite our different time zones, they responded to requests for changes with remarkable speed. It underscored their global mindset showcasing that, indeed, anyone, anywhere could successfully partner with Pieoneers.
Working with Gene and the team was a highlight for me. Their creativity sparked innovation, even as we navigated the complex regulations within our field. Changes, often a source of delay in projects, were handled with exceptional adaptability. Despite the numerous tweaks and revisions, our timeline remained unshaken. This agility and determination to maintain progress, without sacrificing the schedule or quality, was incredibly reassuring.
Our partnership with Pieoneers was not just about meeting project milestones; it was a shared journey of discovery and innovation. The outcomes of our collaboration have left me profoundly impressed. I extend my deepest gratitude to the entire Pieoneers team for their outstanding dedication and support. They've not just met our expectations but exceeded them, crafting not only a platform but a pathway to better healthcare outcomes.

Stuart and his team are very impressive to work with. We came to them with a concept and very preliminary (Kindergarten-level) drawings. They were able to take that plan and deliver something market ready in a few short meetings. They also helped with the supplier meetings to ensure tolerances, resin mixtures, and other details we had no idea about - were done to the level we were expecting. The end result was a physical product that carried two patents (which they helped with, too) and something truly innovative to an otherwise mature, sleepy category. I was very impressed by how the Prime Studio team worked and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. In fact, I've referred a few people there way already.

As co-Founder and former CEO of Welly, I can highly recommend Prime Studio as a product design partner. They worked seemlessly with our team and creative agency partner to ideate, develop options and ultimately decide on our final product and packaging design. They sought to understand our strategy and the essence of the brand in their process. I also appreciated that while we had a point person from their team to support our day-to-day efforts that they always found ways to gather ideas from their broader team to optimize the overall design. Finally, they worked closely with our manufacturing partners to ensure the design went from drawing to a physical product flawlessly. We would not have had the success we had without their partnership and support.

We had the pleasure of collaborating with Prime Studio as an industry partner on several projects to help the end client launch a successful product(s). Throughout our partnership, Prime Studio consistently demonstrated exceptional professionalism and expertise. Prime Studio's innovative approach and attention to detail significantly contributed to the success of our projects. They were always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that our goals were met and that the end client received the best possible outcomes.
We highly recommend Prime Studio to any organization looking for a reliable and skilled partner for branding and product experience. Their commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction is truly commendable.

For a new business owner, issues of business plans, financing, and product timelines were a lot to juggle. Branding is way outside my expertise. I had been mulling over the name for my yet-to-be-created publishing company for a few months. When I finally narrowed down the options, I knew what I had to do next - give Gavin a call and get his expert advice. Gavin listened very carefully. He provided insightful advice and helped me work through the rationale for selecting the brand name. In the end, it was none of the options on my list, but a variation of one. It is a clever connection of books to trees, and the tree that I had much fascination with, the famous Torrey Pine tree in La Jolla CA - the town in which the idea was born. I was so happy with it: Storrey Pine LLC. Shortly after my call, I completed a brand brief for the logo design. The brief was very simple to complete and allowed me to provide my preferences for the logo, including pictures of the true Torrey pine cones. A few weeks later, I had a slide deck in hand with nine logo options, each with its own name for easy reference, created by Bhupesh, a very talented designer. They were all strikingly beautiful - each had captured the natural beauty and majesty of the Torrey pine cone. I had a call with Gavin, who walked me through each of the images and helped me understand the design considerations - balance, symmetry, typography, and the ability for the logo to display well in black and white. I selected 2 designs from the deck for further development, along with a request for some modifications. Bhupesh did some experiments on the designs and provided a rationale for what would and would not work. The logo which I finally selected for development is called "Coniferous" and uses the print-block technique, where the pine cone and the nib are traditional while the print is modern. Next, Bhupesh very thoughtfully put together a “creative explorations” slide deck with some mockups of the logo applied to a business card, letterhead, books, and a tote bag to give me a sense of how my logo would look in real world settings. Finally, I received my brand identity kit with high-resolution images of the logo for print and business cards, as well as images for social media.
Gavin and Bhupesh delivered a very high-quality product with creativity, professionalism, and thoughtful attention to detail. They are masters of their space and their art. I am delighted with the brand name and logo for my company.

Hiring OVO to help drive the rebranding efforts for our business that was recently acquired was one of the best business decisions I have made in my 25+ years as a marketing professional! After an international search, OVO stood out for their strategic, collaborative and experienced approach.
We are a niche B2B solutions company with a complicated business model. The team at OVO were quick to understand our unique challenges, they expertly guided us through a renaming process and simplified how we communicate our value to the market. Our new company now has a strong foundation and strategy that will fuel the growth that we seek.
This was clearly the best agency hire and I highly recommend them!

As we went through the process, your team continually impressed us with elegant and concise approaches in each of the many stages. You listened and created an end product that was truly “us”. We could not be happier. The results have brought many compliments from existing clients and partners, and have yielded more positive results from prospective clients

ICG-ADV took the time to deeply understand not just my organization's work, but the heart of our mission. Their work renewed, refreshed, and encouraged the entire team and even helped us see ourselves more clearly. We were able to start implementing their advice immediately, improving how we show the world who we really are.
ICG’s support came at the organization's ten-year anniversary. The work they did will leave an indelible mark and launch us into the next ten years stronger than ever.
If you're considering whether to work with them, I enthusiastically recommend their services.

Working with ICG has been one of the most meaningful experiences in our nonprofit organization’s ten-year history.
We came to them in desperate need of a brand refresh. Our work is deeply complex and nuanced, and for years we had struggled to communicate it in a way that people could fully understand. Because we are so immersed in the work every day, we couldn’t quite find the words to name what we do in a clear and compelling way. ICG did.
From the very beginning, their team was professional, thoughtful, and deeply curious. They took the time to truly learn about our work, and in what can be a very vulnerable process, they created a space where we felt safe, seen, and understood. They also brought so much joy into the process—we laughed a lot, which made something that could have felt heavy or cumbersome instead feel energizing and human.
What they created for us is hard to put into words. They brought life, voice, and light to our brand in a way we had never experienced before. They named what we had been trying to name for ten years but couldn’t. When they revealed the brand, I was overwhelmed with tears of joy and gratitude. It felt like they had captured the heart of who we are and reflected it back to us with clarity and beauty.
We are continuing to partner with them on our website and video, and I am so grateful for their ongoing investment in our work.
This experience has given me so much hope, encouragement, and excitement for what’s ahead. Working with ICG has truly felt like a gift.
I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for a team that not only delivers exceptional creative work, but does so with heart, intention, and deep care.

What are the red flags when evaluating market research companies?
The most disqualifying red flag is a market research firm that proposes a methodology before diagnosing your problem. This is a common indication that the firm is reverse-engineering your question to fit their existing fieldwork infrastructure, rather than designing a study to answer what you actually need to know.
You should also consider the panel opacity; namely, any market research company that can't specify whether they're using a river sample, a proprietary panel, or a blended approach, and what their median panel tenure and re-contact intervals look like, might be concealing a data quality problem.
Other red flags to watch out for are:
Case studies with no stated confidence intervals or margin of error.
A research director who goes silent after kickoff and hands you to a junior analyst.
Proposals that treat sample size as a fixed number rather than a function of your required subgroup precision.
If the agency doesn't ask how granular your cross-tabulations need to be before they quote an n-size.
How much does it cost to hire a market research company?
A custom market research project from a professional firm can cost from $25,000 to $65,000, with specialist market research commanding the higher end of that range.
In terms of variables, there are five factors that affect final pricing:
Methodology: Qualitative research (focus groups, in-depth interviews) costs more than quantitative (surveys) because it involves harder-to-reach participants and higher incentives per respondent.
Sample size: More respondents means higher fieldwork and incentive costs, wherein the minimum viable sample varies significantly by methodology.
Incidence rate: This is the percentage of the general population who qualify for your study. Low incidence multiplies sample costs because the firm has to screen far more people to fill each completed interview slot.
Survey length: More questions mean longer field periods, more respondent drop-off, and more data to clean, code, and tabulate.
Quality and credibility of analysis: Basic cross-tabulation is fairly cheap, whereas advanced analytics entail higher fees.
What do market research agencies charge that most clients don't expect?
The costs most clients don't see coming are fieldwork overruns, unbundled data processing fees, and multi-market add-ons. Here are a few more details about each cost:
Fieldwork overruns: When your target audience is harder to find than the agency assumed, you pay more per respondent to hit your sample size. For example, a study targeting general consumers might screen 1 in 3 people. A study targeting, say, finance decision-makers at mid-market companies who've evaluated a new vendor recently might screen 1 in 12 people; that gap multiplies your fieldwork cost fast.
Data processing fees: Cleaning and organizing your data after fieldwork closes isn't included by default, and each step gets billed separately. The service entails making the sample representative of your target population, categorizing written responses by hand, and merging qualitative and quantitative findings into one coherent output.
Multi-market add-ons: If your study runs across multiple countries, everything it takes to make the research work locally (translating the survey, verifying the translation is culturally accurate, and confirming findings hold up in each market) is almost never included in the base quote.
The safest way to obtain an accurate proposal is to ask the agency for a full cost-at-risk breakdown, i.e., a list of every line item that could increase based on fieldwork conditions or scope changes.
How do I know if I'm hiring the right market research firm for my budget?
The right market research agency is the one that's honest about what your budget can and can't buy.
The real risk is underspending just enough to get a study that looks credible but can't answer your actual question:
Pricing research with a sample too small to break down results by customer segment
Segmentation work that identifies clusters in the data, but can't tell you how to reach or sell to any of them
Concept testing run on a general audience that doesn't resemble your actual buyer
A credible market research company will tell you upfront if your budget constrains the methodology.
What does a bad engagement with a market research agency look like, and how do I avoid it?
Bad engagements follow the same pattern almost every time: a vague brief, a proposal that doesn't challenge it, and a final deliverable that presents data without telling you what to do with it. Underdelivered outcome looks different depending on what you hired them for:
Segmentation studies. The research identifies customer groups statistically, but those groups don't map to any audience you can actually reach or any go-to-market move you can actually make.
Concept testing. The study tells you which concept scored highest, but doesn't inform why the others scored lower, or what's driving the preference, rendering you unable to improve anything or make a confident call.
Pricing research. The agency asks respondents directly what they'd pay. Respondents don't answer that question honestly. The result looks like data but reflects no real purchase behavior.
In practice, these aren't unusual outcomes. More so, they tend to happen when a market research company takes a brief at face value instead of pressure-testing whether the methodology actually answers the main question.
Before you proceed with collaboration, ask the agency three things:
When does it make sense NOT to hire a market research company?
Hiring a market research firm only makes sense when you have a genuine information gap: a decision that's significant, hard to reverse, and cannot be answered with data you already have. Outside of that, you're paying for research you don't need.
Skip the service if your timeline is too short. A properly designed study with a screener, fieldwork, data cleaning, and analysis takes weeks. Rushing that process cuts quality controls, and data with hidden flaws will ultimately give you false confidence. That's worse than no data at all. If you need an answer within two weeks, you're better off with:
8-12 in-depth interviews with target customers
Your own CRM or behavioral analytics
Existing syndicated reports from sources like Forrester, IDC, or Euromonitor
Skip the service if the answer already exists. If your transaction data already shows how different customer segments respond to price changes, commissioning a new pricing study is a redundant spend.
