Denver Website Designs Reviews

Reviews from Google Maps are available on this profile.
I'm writing this review because I wish that I had been able to see something similar when I decided to work with Denver Website Designs several years ago. Working with Denver Website Designs felt like being held hostage. I was happy with the initial site design, but working with them throughout the years was extremely difficult. I put up with it for years, thinking I was making too big of a deal, but finally realized how bad it was when someone signed on to help me with a marketing project and helped me to see what was actually going on.First of all, it's essential to note that the price to host your site with DWD is literally about 7 times what you'd pay through a platform like Squarespace. For the price, I believe customers should be able to expect white glove service, which is not what I received. One issue that I dealt with frequently was having to interact with the quirky and unintuitive back end when conducting marketing campaigns. Not only is their system confusing and clunky, I would frequently run into issues like having a big percentage of my emails suddenly start going to spam. When things like that happened, I was most often gaslit and told that nothing had changed or should be different, even though it obviously was.The staff was frequently difficult to communicate with, and delivered sloppy results. Every time I asked for an update, I had to go through the site with a fine toothed comb to pick up the inevitable mistakes that were missed through poor attention to detail. I could never simply trust that something had been done correctly the first time, and received a negative attitude when I followed up to get it right.I was also given significant pushback on a number of occasions when I asked for functionality to be added to my site that is standard for most professional websites. I was often told that a fix might not be possible, and had to push to have someone more skilled take a look. Often, after my advocacy, what I was looking for was possible, but sometimes it was not. For example, the final straw for me was that I asked for some kind of confirmation message to pop up on my contact page when someone completed the form. This is very standard on most contact pages, and I often had people submit the form multiple times before because they were confused. I was given the option to have the user directed to a completely different page that confirmed their submission, for which they would charge me $200 on top my already very high hosting fees. What I actually wanted wasn't even an option. This was also a major issue with the shopping cart on my page, and I had to push quite hard to get that page to even be presentable. Not only was I overpaying for hosting at an astronomical level, I was also forced to deal with poor functionality, glitchy code, and unprofessional attitudes. Eventually, I was so tired of it that I forked over a big chunk of money to transfer my site to Squarespace, and it has been a tremendous relief. Please do yourself a favor and work with someone else, because it will end up costing you later.I want to also point out the intimidating ways in which they are interacting with other negative reviews. I was hesitant to even post this, but I think I owe it to other small business owners to help them avoid my mistake. I hope that this helps. "

I am so pleased with Denver Website Design! They are very responsive to questions/problems, or anything we might need. They are friendly and efficient. They created a very complex shopping cart for us that I thought could not be done. I would highly recommend these folks! "

My experience with Denver Website Designs has been incredible! Mark and his team are truly professional and have amazing follow up. I work directly with Emily Barrett and she’s been a tremendous help in creating my website. Not only does she communicate in a quick and professional manner; she’s very creative in helping overcome obstacles. They create beautiful websites and are very helpful on the backend, this truly is a dynamic group of technology experts. I would strongly recommend Denver Website Designs for anyone looking to have a website design partner help their business. "

The Team at Denver Website Designs is professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. It's conveniently easy to email them with changes to our website and the changes do get made in a timely fashion. There are amazing tools which will allow me to make website changes myself, however, recently, I've needed to contact either Erin or Clayton to make those updates for me.Denver Website Designs is responsible for our professional, practical and visually appealing websites. It's great how well our sites work on smart phones, too! Great job! "
