I have a habit of seeing the end, but all of the details are distractions and I had not given them any thought. I was completely unaware of the scope of my project. John did a year long scope and sequence with me, that turned into consulting. He showed me that there is so much more than the end product. I have worked with technology companies in the past and they do one thing really well, they develop technology. John looks at the project holistically. From when the consumer/customer first engages with your product, to how they will actually purchase the product, to the ease of use of the technology, to the performance of your product, to the marketing - how will you first find these customers, and so much more. John is detail oriented and very organized. Nothing slips past him because of his methodology with his wireframes. He holds weekly meetings to make sure the client (me) and he have both done our "homework" to move the project forward. The meetings also ascertain that we are both on the same page about the project. Working with John is a pleasure; I look forward to our weekly talks. I am certain that he is "on my side" and is looking out for my best interests. The world has gotten very small and it is easy to find someone to build your product. However, it is not easy to find someone who will listen to your dream, help you reach it, look out for your best interests and whom you can put complete faith in.

We paid $117,000 across two contracts $68,000 for development and $49,000 for marketing to Naked Development for a consumer-ready iOS and Android app and a full marketing funnel.They delivered neither.We originally requested delivery by Black Friday, the most critical sales window for a parent-focused consumer app. Naked Development proposed December as an alternative. That deadline was their own suggestion. They missed it. We extended to January, then February, then April, then issued a formal written Notice of Breach before giving them one final deadline the following June. Every deadline was missed. We were over 300% over timeline.When we finally handed the codebase to a second development firm, the app would not build on either iOS or Android. We paid thousands just to get it running enough to assess the damage. The contracted team was never fully assembled. Tickets were put on hold without explanation. Subscription management, the most critical feature of the app, was broken for months and never fixed by Naked.The commercial video Naked produced was unusable by launch, as cultural references had gone stale during the delay.We are software engineers who have led teams of over 100. These were not minor issues. They were basic, objective engineering failures.When we raised breach concerns with founder John Driscoll, his response was "let's just let our lawyers talk about it."We are aware of more than a dozen other former clients who experienced similar issues. Do not recommend.

I hired Naked Development in 2022 to build a new version of my mobile app. I paid $203,000 upfront (spread over six months essentially everything I had saved from my first year in business), and was told the app would be completed in five months, by Fall 2022.Instead, the project turned into nearly a year of delays, almost done updates, and declining involvement from their team. My very small internal team and I ended up doing much of the project management and QA work ourselves because progress had stalled so severely. Despite constant reassurances, no functional product was ever delivered.By mid-2023, I hired multiple external development teams to assess the code. Every single one independently concluded that the app was non-functional, unstable, not scalable, and could not be launched. They warned it would crash immediately and required a complete rebuild. I then hired a neutral third-party auditor with zero connection to any agency and his report confirmed the same findings.After paying over $200K, I had nothing usable. When I factored in delays, internal time lost, expert audits, and the cost of rebuilding from scratch, the financial impact to my business exceeded $500,000.After multiple attempts to resolve the situation privately were unsuccessful, I filed a lawsuit, which is now a matter of public record (Superhuman Inc. v. Naked Development). The case is set for trial in early 2026. While litigation is never something a founder hopes for, at a certain point it became the only responsible path given the evidence and the financial damage.I strongly recommend extreme caution when considering this agency.
