As an accounting firm I would give them 1 star. I recently discovered a litany of deductions they failed to consider. You will be given an EA, which is just a glorified tax preparer. They will know nothing and be slow to reply. You might as well get your taxes done by H&R block or a proper independent CPA. If these folks do your taxes, get prepared for a larger tax bill. I strongly advise against it.

I have used Curran and Associates CPA’s for my tax returns for over 6 years. A firm comprising honest, ethical, and diligent people, it has been a pleasure working with them. They take customer privacy very seriously and ensure timely filing of returns with periodic reminders on what a client needs to do. If you're trying to get any type of support from them outside the regular tax filing season (any time that's not between January to April/May), don't even bother and that's coming from someone whose been coming here for over 6 years. I do like going to my person here and she does a good job at doing my taxes, but I've realized this place is a hit or a miss otherwise. I'm referred several people here and I've regretted it each time. 5 stars for tax person which I'm won't mention in order to stay anonymous. 0 stars for everything else about this business. 2 starts overall.

I called corporate office about a complaint I had with my location, my issue was tiny and very fixable. I had expired state check from 2023 that I needed reprinted and mailed to me. I spoke with Stacy at corporate office who assured me she wld fix issue and get a resolution, but never did. She followed up once and after that nothing, everytime I've called she in meeting and unavailable and never returns messages, and I called and left several!!! Theses people in this location strike me as incompetent and unprofessional and do not care about their customers at all. I've been using gateway for almost 5 years not this location tho, and after this I will not be returning. I do not recommend them or their services, go elsewhere, I still hve never received my check!

they called me to delete my review. i initially provided them the leeway and deleted my review so they can fix this issue but they failed with their commitment again.Jacky was supposed to call me to present solution but once again, she failed to call. She asked Marc to call me instead, who keeps ovetalking me, and does not consider your point of view. i have been dealing with this for the past 3 weeks. it is so hard to get in touch with them because they never pick up or return my call. the only time they reached back again was when I left a review i google.they have tried bribing me by issuing a refund but they never held up to their commitment.they also used scare tactics such as the IRS will not talk to us and that we are flagged by the IRS and that IRS will put us on a higher tax bracket starting next year because of the audit. these are all lies because your tax bracket will always be determined by your income.they will lie and scare you to subscribed to them. In fact, they were the second tax company that reviewed our case and tax relief advocates mentioned that they wouldnt be able to help us other than setting up a payment plan, which by the way you can easily do in IRS.gov. somebody should audit their busines practices.August 3, 2025 - ideal tax called me again because of this review, asking me to delete it and they will issue a refund. I find it funny that they are desparate to get this review removed but have no acknowledgement of their mistakes. I dont need the refund. i also think that if they have any remorse, they should try to fix it what is wrong with their process. Please consider the fact that they bribe clients to remove negative reviews so please consider that fact before doing any business with them. also, if you look at the negative reviews, Ideal tax will always deny that they are their clients when they respond to these reviews. Such a disgusting practice. So please be careful when dealing with them

I don't know if communication was lost or never sent, but multiple requirements of us were never received - including the cutoff date for submitting our information - which caused us to miss filing on time and requiring an extension. When asked, we were told that information was provided, but I could not (and still can not) find that information anywhere. We didn't realize we were after the cutoff date until we reached out to ask about the status. After learning that we needed an extension, multiple dates were given for when our taxes would be filed. When dates were missed, we again had to reach out for clarification and a new timeline.

Being in the Cannabis business, the amount of deductions that were possible was daunting to me so I figured having some help to do my taxes were in order.
