Their code is well-organized, easy to follow, and rarely do we have to go back-and-forth about bugs. They are also excellent communicators - carefully following threads on Slack, effectively communicating design and engineering tradeoffs, and even producing a 10m Loom video walking through a diagram. I’m not usually one for making posts like this about other companies I do business with but given what I’ve experienced over the last 5 years, I feel very compelled to raising awareness into my experiences with Dotsquares.Initially, this company was very good at handling our website requirements. It was thanks to this that when I became the owner of Lorryspotting.com that I figured it would make sense to have them upgrade that website. It was a big project but with all the accolades and expertise that Dotsquares boasts about, it seemed to be within their scope of capability.Instead, it turned into the most miserable of projects that was riddled with the purest incompetence that I’ve had the misfortune to witness in almost 20 years of business. As per their terms of business, I advanced paid for part of the project yet they were incapable of delivering a functioning website. Added to this, the ageing status of the old site meant we suffered a server failure 16 months ago and when restoring the old site, it was proven that Dotsquares negligently compromised the colossal amount of data held on that site to potential hackers. By this point, enough was enough. Despite so-called “project managers” apparently understanding my business, they became mouthpieces with a catalogue of excuses and rhetoric that failed to take responsibility enveloped by expectations we would continue to pay to fix what they had caused.Ordinarily, escalating this to a company’s CEO should yield an immediate improvement to rectifying a situation. The CEO of this company ignored my email and relegated its handling to the very people causing the problem and failing to deliver any outcomes. It was therefore with no other alternative that I had to commence legal proceedings against this company. Despite repeated attempts to defend what was in essence an indefensible position, we reached a settlement on the matter, the terms of which I’m bound by a confidentiality order but has avoided it being played out before a Judge.Based on my reflections, this company may theoretically claim to value their customers but in reality their actions speak far louder. They do not deserve to be in business and I can’t even begin to fathom how they deal with some of the brands that their client list cites. I would absolutely urge anyone who does, or considers to work with them in any capacity to run for the hills - you will regret it otherwise! I only wish I had of checked out some of the reviews that are out there - reflecting on them now resonates virtually a carbon copy as to my experiences!

I have been waiting for my website to be completed for two years now, and the experience has been increasingly frustrating. The lack of timely communication and follow-ups from their side has been disappointing. Despite my repeated efforts to get updates and move things forward, progress has been unreasonably slow. I expected a much higher level of professionalism and responsiveness. I hope they take this feedback seriously and improve their communication and delivery timelines moving forward.

Immensely disrespectful and dereliction of duty are the two ways I would describe this software team. They have hired help from other countries that barely knows what they're doing, the products we were working on have had many days of outage that they were not willing to take responsibility for. Their pricing is competitive to the point where you should notice that they are just attempting to undercut all other competitors and bids, regardless if they can do the work for the price. They're always willing to win a bid, just so they can under deliver on work.
Professional, Local (IE not overseas), Innovative and Insightful!Jon and the rest of the team (we affectionately call them the Robots) helped transform our online shopping tool and our business along with it.After one of their employees purchased from our site, they noticed several areas where they may be able to improve things. They were right! What they did can only be compared to taking an old bag phone (if you are old enough to remember those) and building it into one of today’s smartphones.Their value did not end there.
