We've led organizations, launched initiatives, and walked alongside communities in urban and international contexts. That experience grounds everything we do.
We believe nonprofits and social impact organizations are powerful drivers of justice and equity. But too often, their message gets lost in complexity, or their brand doesn't reflect the strength of their work. That gap holds them back from the resources, recognition, and reach they are looking for.
At Liminal, we help close that gap. Through clear messaging, purposeful design, and embedded expertise, we position nonprofits to connect with the people who can help their mission thrive. The result isn't just sharper communications, it's stronger credibility, deeper engagement, and greater impact in the communities they serve.

Liminal Reviews

Liminal PDX is hands down the coolest place I've discovered since moving to SW Portland. I stumbled upon this awesome novelty shop by accident and was like, “Whoa!” Y’know? “Whoa!” You KNOOOW. The store is full of curious, cool, and mysterious handcrafted items, most of which are made by the owner herself, Allison. What's special (and about damn time) is Liminal’s dedication to embracing and celebrating the unique perspectives of neurodiversity. As a creative person who has had trouble finding "my people" since moving to Portland, I've never felt more at home in a space. Allison, who runs the shop, is welcoming and we became fast friends.I attended one of her card-making workshops and had such a great experience. Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided, and people made scrappy collages while others made beautiful little masterpieces. It was inspiring to be part of such a diverse, creative environment. I also attended a movie night, complete with a projector, retro lawn chairs, and good energy.Allison is a creative powerhouse and it's contagious. If you're looking for a welcoming, creative community or just want to find sick treasures - yes TREASURES, Liminal PDX is absolutely worth a visit. If you’ve made it to the bottom of this review, I will personally shake your hand if we ever cross paths. And if you don't like shaking hands, I will tip my hat to you. And if I'm not wearing a hat that day, will you please buy me one from Liminal so I can tip my hat to you? "Jenson Nelson's Review Sourced from Google
This has been so fun! Such a great cute store. Everything is so well made. You can find anything off the wall. The meet up was so fun. Met some great people. Love the owners and the vibe is wonderful. What a great place to be. "Tia tia's Review Sourced from Google
Lovely store. Store has in house crafting sessions, check schedule. Eclectic (sp?) selection of goods; really something for everyone. Most goods handcrafted by owner. A store deserving of success! "Tracy Stoner-H's Review Sourced from Google
I love all of the unique, hand crafted gifts. Everything I've ever gotten was of such high quality, and well made. Definitely would purchase again. "Alisha Landolt's Review Sourced from Google
The owner and crafter, Allison is so helpful and seems genuinely excited to share her passion behind her inspiration for her creations. Her stuff is So Unique and definitely helps me connect with my weird side. This place is perfect for stocking stuffers for your alterna-teen or tween… or bring them and let them pick out their favorite mushroom 🍄 themed, or spooky 👻 🕷️ themed or out of left field themed treasures! You’ll probably find something you will absolutely go goo-goo over. I definitely appreciate getting in touch with my inner child and spoil her… 🤩 "Anya Mayer's Review Sourced from Google
