This review comes with some caveats1.This review relates specifically to Google & Meta ad campaigns. We didn't use their SEO or marketing services.2.We’re a small (2 person), new business – less than 2 years3.We’re a health business - may be a niche market that responds differently to other businesses4.The rating relates to the actual results vs claimed results; tech team good, salesperson unrealistic expectations.We're a small business that's been struggling with Google ads for the last 2 years. We've worked with other third parties including Google's own "Ad Experts" without success - a lot of wasted time & money. I was sceptical when Purge approached us & rather cynical of their claims but decided to at least give them a go.The first few weeks of their Google ad campaign saw an increase in patient numbers, so it looked unexpectedly promising; after 3 weeks though numbers dropped back to what we’d been experiencing. 2 months in we did an analysis of new patients and discovered the surge was actually related to factors largely other than the Google ad campaign, specifically word-of-mouth, passing traffic & organic searches for us. Half the patients who booked through the campaign ad didn’t show up to their appointments.When the numbers dropped, we agreed to add a Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ad campaign. Again, we were told how successful this had been generating leads for other businesses. We only ran this for 2 weeks with no genuine leads (all but 2 were accidental form submissions which we paid for).I can’t fault the implementation team for their work setting up the campaigns. We have enough experience ourselves now to recognise that, at least compared to the other agencies we’ve dealt with, they certainly seemed to know what they were doing. The issue came down to the over-enthusiastic claims of the salesperson who was promising results from something (Google) that they ultimately have no control over.We ended our relationship with Purge as it was costing us $3.40 to generate $1 of new business – unsustainable for us as a new business.I won’t say don’t try them; I would say monitor your results very closely and watch your ROI.
