Studio Marketing business history began in 1973 with establishment of the first agency of the Balkan region. From the outset, the Agency was offering a complete range of marketing services through a network of offices in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, the Republic of Macedonia, the Republic of Kosovo and Albania. Later on, in a period from 1998 to 2014, Studio Marketing become a part of the largest and the most famous global marketing agencies chain - J. Walter Thompson, where it gained a global expertise, market strength and skills in lobbying and gathering information related to needs of different markets. The Agency's central office in Ljubljana held a guarantee that the same level of service is provided in all agencies within the network, whereas local offices adapted their services to needs and requirements of clients to the greatest extent possible. Projects were managed either centrally from one agency (with coordinators in other agencies) or locally (where each agency works individually on the project).

Today, a half century long experience and extensive knowledge of the Agency is available to clients in Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and a strong focus on innovative marketing solutions and emotional attachment of consumers and products offered by the agency's clients have become a trademark of its work.
