Please do your research before having anything to do with this company. Choosing them has been one of the worst decisions of our lives. We chose them based on their largely positive Google reviews. And while Matt is certainly the ring leader, the entire company (Debbie, Annie, and Elee) consists of people who are missing morals, ethics, and any sense of societal responsibility. When Matt did our taxes we owed 20k. When I hired a third party to redo our taxes because something felt wrong, we received an 11k refund. That's nearly 100k of exaggerated income. Not to mention the fact that they owe us an additional 70k. The efforts we are going to have to make to get our money back is going to cost us an excessive amount of time, energy, and resources. But, we've worked really hard for our money and we are motivated to get it back.

My wife and I used this firm to prepare our taxes one year on a family recommendation and they were a total joke. We had to send back our taxes twice because they couldn't even get our names right the first time, and the second time they didn't get our Social Security Numbers right. Given the fact that we sent them our previous two years of returns with our names and SSNs correctly printed all over the returns, it's astounding that such basic errors happened. Who knows what other errors were on that year's returns... On top of that they charged $500 for a very basic return and basically required us to fill out all the boxes on our forms instead of taking all the forms and preparing the taxes. We had to spoon feed them everything and basically did our taxes ourselves. Suffice it to say we never used them again after that.

EIDE BAILLY CHARGED ME $1,325.00 FOR A STANDARD TAX RETURN!!!I had been using Eide Bailly since I graduated college a few years ago. David Frank was always the guy I dealt with, and it was always expensive, and never impressive. I would have to pay about $600 if I recall for a standard tax return in the past. PLUS I would call with what seemed like a simple question during the year and he would "need to check". After hours passed he would call back with an answer and a bill would sometimes follow for something like $100.In April 2012 David Frank did my taxes as usual, but when the bill came it was for $1,325.00 !!!!!! I was shocked, he said it was because I had got married in 2012 and he "HAD TO CALL" ANOTHER GUY AT ANOTHER EIDE BAILLY IN MINNEAPOLIS, MN TO BE SURE THAT DID NOT REQUIRE SPECIAL CONSIDERATION ON THE TAX RETURN... AND HE BILLED FOR HOURS OF TALK TIME *TIMES* 2 PEOPLE. And the answer was **NO THIS DOES NOT AFFECT THE TAX RETURN!!** IT WAS A WASTED CALL!! And they billed my and my new wife $1,325.00!! Do you know how much that is to a couple newly weds!!!I asked David if he felt that was fair, and he said YES!!!

They have multiple offices and addresses posted online. One time I drove to Sherwood Park, and it was not the right place. Then I had to email to confirm which address they were at. They did my taxes during tax season, and it was fine. But I asked to set an appointment to discuss my RDSP. The receptionist told me on two separate occasions that they'd get ahold of me after tax season. I still have yet to hear from them. When I'd go into the office it seemed disorganized, I can understand Tax Season is very busy and a lot of paperwork but keep in mind this is confidential information, and paperwork should be left all over the place where everyone can see.

Everyone is genuinely happy & nice to see/hear from us and always happy to help. We mostly talk with Joe, and chat with him at least once a week. CSI Accounting may try to spin this by saying they offered me a new accountant or that taking onboarding fees from my account—after our relationship was terminated—was warranted. It was not.The truth: I received no tax advice, no business guidance, and no real onboarding. The only thing they provided was payroll, which I paid for separately. My assigned tax person came to our meeting without reviewing my file, admitted to being new to the systems, and openly struggled to use them.Charging me for this is indefensible. Withholding services, then helping themselves to my business account after termination, destroyed any trust. Whatever they claim, the fact is simple: I paid for services I never received.I hired CSI Accounting to support my business with the expectation of receiving high-quality service based on their confident promises. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing. Despite the strong sales pitch, they failed to deliver on key aspects of their service.When I raised concerns and requested a fair negotiation regarding payment for services that were never rendered, they abruptly ended our relationship “effective immediately.” I then began formally disputing those charges through my American Express account. Rather than respond to the dispute in good faith or allow the process to play out, CSI took an entirely inappropriate step: they bypassed the dispute process and directly accessed my business checking account—without my consent—to withdraw the same funds.This withdrawal occurred more than a week after our business relationship had already been terminated and without any form of authorization from me. I did not give permission for this transaction, and their actions represent a serious breach of both trust and professional ethics.
