  We had no software developers in-house, so Leanware became our development partner for an automated trading platform, an engagement that started around February 2022 and has grown past $500,000 invested. They designed the architecture around AWS cloud services and have built the product iteratively in Python, backend first and now the frontend, with features to open, monitor, and automatically close trades driven by our strategy inputs. The staffing has flexed with our needs, currently five developers, and Leandro, a backend developer who has been on the project from the beginning, deserves a special mention: he has grown from a mid-level developer into a senior role and taken real ownership of planning and team leadership. We work in fast sprints where we build, break, and fix things quickly, and their ability to adapt to our methodology is their biggest strength; when we decided to take project management in-house, they simply accommodated us, and their developers now feel like in-house teammates. They're organized, reporting the hours worked, with calls three times a week and Slack almost daily. Our only note over the years is that junior developers need more guidance when they start, which is to be expected. They don't just develop quality products; they've become part of our organization, and they're very good at understanding the business side of your company, not just the software
