We hired Syntactics in April 2025 for a premium SEO campaign. Promises included high-quality, Australian-based backlinks, technical SEO fixes, competitor analysis, and a clear roadmap. Before choosing them, we noticed many positive reviews online. In my opinion, many appear to be from employees or not genuine, so I recommend looking beyond the star rating.Within weeks of starting, our performance went backwards:Organic traffic dropped by 370 visits per monthTop-ranking keywords in positions 13 fell sharplySite health score fell from the high 90s to 55 (see Ahrefs screenshots)Key issues:Backlinks were mostly from irrelevant forums and free blog platforms like Tumblr and Blogspot, with no industry or geographic relevanceCompetitor analysis and keyword gap strategy never deliveredOnly 2 blogs published in the first month, not 3 as promisedKeyword targeting fell short of the 1625 agreedTechnical SEO reporting was vague until repeatedly requestedMissed and late meetings, reactive communication, and undisclosed changes to structured data that harmed national search visibilityDespite multiple opportunities to correct course, the campaign failed to deliver on the agreed scope. We were left with worse rankings, reduced site health, low-quality backlinks, and extra costs to repair the damage.Advice: Avoid Syntactics if you value your search performance. The screenshots show exactly what happened to us in just a few months. "Project Name: SEO

We engaged Syntactics in late April 2025 for what was sold as a premium, targeted SEO campaign. The onboarding was friendly and confident, and we were told to expect high-quality, niche-relevant, Australian-based backlinks, technical SEO improvements, competitor analysis, and a clear roadmap. Before choosing them, we noticed many positive reviews online. In our opinion, a large number of these appear to be from employees or otherwise not genuine, so we would strongly encourage potential clients to look beyond the star rating and read the details. The reality for us was the opposite of what was promised, and the screenshots below speak for themselves:Organic traffic fell by 370 visits per month after engagementTop-ranking keywords in positions 1 to 3 dropped sharplySite health score fell from the high 90s before Syntactics to 55(Screenshots from Ahrefs attached)What Went WrongPerformance Declines After EngagementThese drops happened after Syntactics began their work. There is no reasonable way to present this as a “foundation month” when the actual result was a backward step in rankings, traffic, and site health.Backlink Strategy MisrepresentedWe were promised Australian-based, industry-relevant backlinks. Instead, we received links from irrelevant forums and free blog platforms like Tumblr, Blogspot, and JustPaste. These had no topical or geographical relevance and were not what we agreed to.Key Deliverables Missing or LateCompetitor analysis and keyword gap strategy were never deliveredOnly 2 blogs in the first month instead of 3 as promisedKeyword targeting fell short of the 16 to 25 agreedTechnical SEO reporting was vague until repeatedly requestedPoor CommunicationMeetings were missed or started late. Early reporting was high-level and avoided key performance issues. The NSW-only geo restriction in our structured data was never disclosed and was only discovered by our new SEO consultant. The OutcomeDespite multiple opportunities to correct the work, the campaign failed to deliver on the core promises. We were left with worse rankings, lower site health, poor-quality backlinks, and additional costs to fix the damage. Our AdviceIf you value your search rankings and site integrity, avoid Syntactics. The screenshots above show exactly what happened to us in only a few months. "Ruben Müller's Review Sourced from Google
It’s been great working with the Syntactics Team! Fast to reply and great quality of work. Special thanks for Fria my Project Manager. "Alexander Falossi's Review Sourced from Google
Initially, I was hesitant to entrust our corporate website redesign to Syntactics, a company I found online. However, my skepticism quickly dissipated after our initial online meeting. Their team was incredibly easy to work with, knowledgeable, and professional. From the start, they clearly understood our vision and provided valuable insights. Their ability to meet deadlines consistently and deliver high-quality work exceeded my expectations. I was impressed with their service much more with the completed output.A special thanks to Maryjane and Dan for their exceptional contributions throughout the project. Syntactics is a highly recommended choice for anyone seeking a reliable and talented web design partner. "Al Remante's Review Sourced from Google
This is just a feedback about how I felt during a free discovery call with one of their members. This actually happened last year and I just got the time to submit my review now due to busy schedules and I just remember it! I was looking to have some websites whitelabeled. Back then, I was once a rookie in the web design industry and I was very hungry for help (not in the technical side of web design but in the outsourcing side of things) because I don’t have any idea about outsourcing or white labeling, and so I booked a call. In that call was me, the marketing person, and the team leader I guess of the web design department. The call started fine, but eventually, I felt like the team leader is no longer interested in my questions because the way he’s answering them it feels like I am just getting a “plain/shallow” sort of answers. I know some of my questions are dumb but at least he should’ve tried to be patient with me because at the end of the day, I am still a potential client. It’s just so sad because I already have few clients under me that time that I am looking to outsource to Syntactics. Well, at the end of the call, I just told them that I will think about. The marketing person is so nice though. She has really tried to answer my questions as much as she can. With this experience, I have decided to work with other agency. And yes, I am still working with them until now and I am giving them consistent white label projects due to my personal client outreach efforts. Hope this helps. "Rhea's Review Sourced from Google
