    • Anonymous Owner at Environ Skin Care

      Public Relations Review from Anonymous

As a national wholesale distributor for a pharmaceutical skin care line, we focus largely on B2B lead nurturing and must rely primarily on the 5WPR team to support our consumer outreach.  We have been clients of 5WPR for just over a year and the team has secured nearly 3 billion impressions.  The publications include national books such as Vogue, NewBeauty, Elle, StyleCaster, Well + Good, Who What Wear, Harper's Bazaar, InStyle, and many more. One of our main goals was also to secure coverage in regional publications and media to help support our medspa clients.  5WPR aligned with our strategy and has secured a multitude of smaller market publications and broadcast segments which has helped increase exposure for our amazing medspa practices and lifted product and treatment sales. 5WPR is extremely proactive in seeking out influencers that are a fit for our skin care brand and technology.  When Hailey Bieber touted one of our products in a social post, 5WPR was swift at media hijacking, leveraging on the publicity and securing millions more impressions. The 5WPR team also keeps our brand in the hands of many editors with industry-relevant and thought-provoking story coverage.  Our award submissions are carefully considered and submitted on our behalf. We very much appreciate the training and education that the 5WPR team has committed to as our brand has a lot of science and technology.  The team has adopted our philosophy on education and continues to learn and harness ingredient and skin science to present our brand to the media. We feel that the 5WPR team is an extension of our staff family.  We feel supported and very comfortable reaching out with our needs anytime.  5WPR listens to our ideas and collaborates to institute strategies that hit measurable goals.

      Advertising Review from Damian Ross

I worked with WKND Digital for 9 months. During the first 2 months they had the A team on the job, but after they failed to beat our current ROI Benchmark or Scale, they foisted us on the B and then the C team. The result was even worse results, tripled delivery times and stopped sending us creative for review. We later discovered the creative had misspelled and was way off message. Yes they're suing (2 years later) me because I canceled in November 2021 and they want to get paid for 12/21.

The WKND team not only helped us position our online store in the competitive water filtration market but also optimized our business operations beyond just marketing. We now have an amazing, streamlined system that’s been working great for the past 2 years. We’re still working with them and couldn’t have picked anyone better. While we wasted a lot of money with other companies in the past, these guys were the only ones who truly cared and helped our company grow as planned. Thank you for all the hard work, guys—I’m grateful!

It’s so upsetting to me that Madwell is THAT bad. I reached out to them about 3 weeks ago inquiring about becoming a new client and they had told me “sure no problem, someone will reach out to you” I’ve emailed, called, AND gone to their office in person trying to meet with someone. Blown off for so long until today when I called again furious asking if they usually have people waiting for 3 weeks to even have a preliminary phone call with someone. She put me on hold came back to the line and said “we no longer do work for restaurants anymore”. Wow so sad. I really hope for future customers you guys get better and step up your game. I have friends you have used them before who say they do work really well for them. Told them what happened and NOW they tell me that they have noticed the company as begun to go downhill. Good Luck!

You should look for experience, local expertise, a comprehensive service offering, and a collaborative approach in a social media marketing agency in New York City. Here is how you can evaluate it:

  • Proven track record in New York
Your New York City social media marketing agency should have case studies and testimonials from businesses in New York City or the surrounding areas. These demonstrate the agency's ability to navigate the competitive landscape and understand local audience preferences. Look for success stories and reviews from local clients, such as restaurants, fashion brands, or tech startups.
  • Local market expertise
The agency should possess a deep understanding of New York City’s unique demographics, cultural trends, and industry dynamics. For example, if your business targets young professionals in areas like Manhattan or Brooklyn, it should know how to tailor social media strategies to resonate with that audience. Additionally, familiarity with New York City-specific trends and platforms will enhance engagement and effectiveness.
  • Transparent and regular reporting
Ensure the agency provides clear, consistent reporting that goes beyond generic metrics. It should offer insights on engagement rates, audience growth, and campaign performance, highlighting how your brand is performing against competitors in the New York City market. Look for reports that analyze how your content resonates with local audiences and any adjustments made to improve results.
  • Customized strategies for New York City's competitive environment
New York City is a bustling market with diverse industries and competition. Your social media agency should tailor strategies to your specific niche and audience. It should focus on content that reflects local culture and events, optimize it for platforms popular in the area, and incorporate community engagement strategies that resonate with New York City residents.
  • Technical knowledge with local adaptation
Given New York City's fast-paced digital landscape, your agency should have technical expertise in managing social media campaigns effectively. Ensure it understands local factors, such as geo-targeting for ads, creating location-specific content, and leveraging local influencers to enhance visibility and engagement within the city.
  • Up-to-date practices in New York City's evolving market
New York City is at the forefront of social media trends, so the agency you choose should be updated with the latest practices and tools. It should know how to leverage emerging platforms, stay ahead of algorithm changes, and use data-driven insights to optimize campaigns. Look for an agency that understands how to integrate seasonal trends and citywide events (like New York Fashion Week or major holidays) into its social media strategy for maximum impact.
