Video Marketing Review from Wanis Boukra-Bettayeb, M. Sc.
We wanted to make an onboarding video and HR video that showcased our workplace culture, so we included a few testimonial videos from our team. The team was super organized, they responded quickly and were very easy to collaborate with. In the end, our CEO loved the final video. And it looked professional and clean. Our team is happy with the service we got from Machiavel!

Video Production Review from Alexandre Cayer-Desforges

Habitat Creative Company Reviews & Testimonials

Product Design Review from Anastasiia Filonenko
We reached out to Habitat for product design. Our product had grown past what its original design could support, and we needed a partner who could dig into the product itself, not just refresh the surface, without breaking what our users already relied on. Habitat redesigned our core product flows, rebuilt our design system from scratch (tokens, components, documentation), and delivered new dashboard interfaces for the more complex, data-heavy parts of the product. They also refreshed our brand identity alongside the product work, so everything felt like one system instead of two separate efforts stitched together.Working with them was easier than we expected. They shipped on time, every time, with no mid-project budget renegotiation. Our team picked up the new design system almost instantly, and we're still building on what they gave us a year later, which says a lot. What stuck with us most was how much they cared about understanding the existing product before touching anything. It never felt like a redesign for the sake of having something new. It felt like they fixed what was actually broken and left alone what wasn't. We genuinely recommend Habitat. It's a young, sharp team that communicates easily, and you always know exactly what to expect from them. We'd work with them again without a second thought.

Branding Review from Sejal Chordia
We partnered with Habitat to make a redesign for one of our clients with eCommerce experience, for a beauty tech and skincare brand rooted in science, not hype. Their products combine high-end technology, like LED therapy masks and microcurrent devices, with evidence-based skincare, so we needed a platform that felt clean, trustworthy, and conversion-focused. From the beginning, Habitat understood the client wanted to steer away from loud, aggressive marketing and instead focus on clarity, education, and a premium feel. They helped to structure the entire experience, from product categorization to personalized shopping flows. One of the standout features was a routine builder - an onboarding quiz that recommends full routines based on user goals. It added real value to the customer journey and significantly increased average order value. Habitat also crafted product pages that felt informative without being overwhelming, balancing tech specs, usage guides, ingredients, and social proof.Their design system was thoughtful and scalable, with responsive layouts that looked and performed beautifully across devices. They introduced subtle motion that brought a sense of polish and elevated the tech perception without slowing down the experience. The team was communicative, proactive, and delivered everything on time, making the collaboration seamless. After launch, the client testing team saw a 28% increase in conversions and a 40% boost in bundled purchases. Users are spending more time on the site and returning to explore new routines. Habitat helped to create a platform that feels both smart and beautiful - one that educates, builds trust, and drives growth. We're genuinely proud of the result.

Product Design Review from Meeral Chordia
We collaborated with Habitat to design the MVP for our client, a B2B travel booking platform built specifically for agencies, tour organizers, and consolidators - professionals who manage high booking volumes and need speed, structure, and clarity. Our goal was to create the kind of tool that could truly streamline operations and replace the patchwork of systems many teams rely on today.Habitat helped us shape the product from scratch, starting with a short discovery phase to define key personas, map workflows, and prioritize core features. One of their biggest contributions was rethinking the booking flow around how agents actually work, selecting a client first, then proceeding with accommodation search, which felt far more aligned with real-world use. They designed a tidy dashboard with filterable tags and collapsible navigation that scales with volume. They also built in thoughtful touches like a lightweight quote tool, allowing agents to send branded PDFs to clients quickly. Visually, the UI leaned into a minimalist B2B style with a modern feelstructured, calm, and clear. They based the design system on Tailwind UI, which gave us consistency and made handoff to development faster and easier. The final result was a polished, clickable prototype that our client has already started showing to early pilot users and investors. Theyre getting great feedback on the usability and clarity of the flows. Habitat not only delivered on time, but also brought strategic thinking and true product insight to the table. They helped us create something that feels ready to scale and we couldnt have asked for a better design partner.

Null Station Reviews & Testimonials

Product Design Review from John Carey
Null Station produced a 90-second 3d launch video, and the entire process took around 30 days. In the beginning, we had 23 calls with the team to discuss our product, our target audience, and my thought process regarding what the video should look like. On the second call with Null Station, we discussed the team's thoughts and reviewed the work they had put together. We went through the pieces the team came up with, describing what would be suitable for the video. On our third call with Null Station, the team presented a script on paper stating the video's dialogues and how the story should be laid out. The team allowed me to make changes throughout the process. About ten days after we started the project, the script was confirmed, and Null Station produced the actual video. The video involved in-house voiceover, and the team hired a professional person to do it. Once the video was done, I could request a couple of changes. Null Station managed the video process from start to finish, including visualization and sound edition. We presented the video created by Null Station to around 40 people, including our team's executives and persons from our target audience. We could see how the audience's faces lit up when watching the video.Null Station's work was top-notch. I didn't request many changes to the final video because their work was excellent. Null Station's quality was fantastic.I am still working with them and would love to recommend them if anyone is looking for a reliable Animation service for there business.Funny enough I've worked with them on several advertising projects too they always come up with weird ideas that somehow become some of the successful campaigns for my company history haha.Love you guys"

Video Production Review from Anders Aano
I was mostly impressed by Null Station project management. The team quickly got back to me and implemented changes without complaining or asking for more money. Null Station ensured we were happy and delivered the best video. If I had a change idea and Null Station thought it was good, they were keen to implement it.

Video Production Review from Rod Saunders
Firstly, Null Station has a vision. Secondly, the team is very creative individually and as a team. And thirdly, by working as a team, Null Station is very efficient and fast in achieving the desired results. Every teammate is clear as to what they have to do and how they have to do it. Torrey is the director and orchestrates his team to perform individually and as a group.

Zachary Chartier's Review Sourced from Google
Heritage Home Service couldn't have asked for better partners than Brett and the Windwood team when we embarked on our journey to create two new commercials. From the moment we said "go," the Windwood team brought their A game. Brett helped us hone our vision for the commercials and was a crucial sounding board to make sure our creative was nailed down. When we entered production, we were impressed with the value that Windwood brought to the table. Equipment isn't everything, but Windwood came prepared for large scale commercials: from lighting, to set dressing, to makeup, and camera, everyone was well-equipped, prepared, and professional. In the edit, Windwood was patient and very receptive to feedback and helped us craft two commercials that we're very proud of. In short, if you're looking for a team that wants to provide the highest level of work and make your brand look good, look no further! As a final note, so often, creative projects can be stressful, especially where vision and intent meet reality. Brett and the Windwood team did such an amazing job navigating these planned and unplanned challenges, always finding the best way to achieve what was needed for the story. It was exciting and impressive to witness everyone come together and create something special, and the morale on set was always high. I feel that is a testament to the quality of the people at Windwood and the leadership Brett showed. The Windwood team are happy in their work and care about what they do, it really does make a world of difference.

We look forward to working with them again.

5 Frequently Asked Questions About VFX Companies
What services do visual effects companies offer?
They provide a wide range of technical and creative services that transform raw footage into immersive visual experiences across film, television shows, commercials, and digital content.
A typical VFX company delivers end-to-end production support, including:
- CGI and animation: Creating digital characters, environments, and simulations.
- Compositing: Combining multiple layers of footage into a seamless final shot.
- Motion capture and tracking: Translating real-world movement into digital assets.
- Matte painting and environment design: Building large-scale digital worlds.
- Atmosphere visual effects: Smoke, fire, water, weather, and particle simulations.
- Motion graphics: Visual elements for commercials, branding, and digital campaigns.
- Post-production editing and enhancement: Refining shots for consistency and realism.
These services are essential to modern production, as around 80% of top-grossing movies rely heavily on visual effects, and over 3,000 films globally used VFX in 2023 alone, according to Market Growth Reports.
Leading VFX companies go beyond post-production and support the entire creative pipeline:
- Virtual production: Real-time environments using LED stages and game engines.
- Previsualization (previz): Planning scenes digitally before filming.
- Digital doubles and de-aging: Recreating actors or modifying performances.
- AI-assisted workflows: Speeding up rotoscoping, rendering, and compositing.
The rise of virtual production is particularly significant, with the market projected to grow from $2.9 billion in 2024 to nearly $13 billion by 2034, reflecting how quickly studios are adopting real-time workflows.
How much does it cost to hire a VFX studio?
The price of hiring VFX studios varies widely based on the project scope, complexity, and the level of visual effects required. It can go from $5,000 to $50,000 for independent projects to millions for feature films.
According to various sources, VFX experts price their work based on complexity:
- Simple effects (cleanup, basic compositing): a few hundred to $1,000 per shot
- Mid-level work (environment extensions, animation): $2,000-$5,000 per minute
- High-end shots for a feature film: $10,000-$60,000 per shot
- Complex blockbuster sequences can exceed $100,000 per shot
The overall cost of hiring visual effects studios depends heavily on the type of content:
- Commercials and branded content: From $1,000 to $20,000 per minute, depending on complexity.
- Independent film projects: Often allocate between $5,000 and $25,000 total for VFX work.
- High-end film and television shows: Visual effects typically account for 20-25% of the total production budget.
- Blockbuster productions: Entire films can reach budgets of $65 million+, with a significant portion dedicated to VFX.
What kind of portfolio should these companies have?
A VFX studio’s portfolio should clearly demonstrate technical capability, creative artistry, and the ability to support high-quality storytelling across different formats.
- Diverse work across formats and industries
VFX companies should showcase projects across feature films, television shows, streaming content, high-end commercials, and digital campaigns. - High-quality, realistic visual effects work
A credible studio should highlight seamless compositing and integration, advanced atmosphere visual effects, photorealistic CGI and animation, and clean breakdowns showing before-and-after shots. VFX studios like Sony Pictures Imageworks and Moving Picture Company are known for delivering large volumes of complex shots. Some productions exceed 2,000 VFX shots per film, demonstrating scale and consistency. - Evidence of innovation and modern workflows
A modern portfolio should reflect innovation, including the use of virtual production pipelines, real-time rendering tools, and AI-assisted compositing and automation. - Recognized work and industry credibility
Look for indicators of quality, such as credits on major film or television productions, collaborations with well-known companies, and recognition like an Academy Award or related nominations. A VFX agency tied to franchises influenced by George Lucas and Star Wars, for example, has historically set benchmarks for the best visual effects, raising expectations across the industry. - Strong storytelling and creative direction
Beyond technical execution, their portfolios should show how visual effects enhance narrative through emotional impact in key scenes, cohesive visual style across sequences, and support for brand messaging in commercials.
What is the process for working with a VFX company?
The process of working with VFX companies includes the following phases:
- Discovery and project briefing: Define goals, scope, budget, and timelines with the studio, including the type of visual effects, target audience, and deliverables.
- Concept development and planning: The studio creates initial concepts, references, and previsualizations to align storytelling, style, and technical approach.
- Bidding and scope approval: Detailed cost estimates are provided based on shot complexity, with clear breakdowns for film, television shows, or commercials.
- Pre-production setup: Planning for shoot requirements, data capture, and workflows, such as virtual production or integration with special effects.
- Production collaboration: VFX studios may support on-set supervision to ensure footage is captured correctly for VFX integration.
- Post-production and execution: VFX artists handle compositing, animation, motion graphics, and atmosphere visual effects, often across multiple review stages.
- Review and feedback cycles: Iterative approvals ensure quality, with clients reviewing versions and refining details to achieve the best visual effects.
- Final delivery and optimization: The completed shots are delivered in required formats, optimized for platforms like television, digital, or theatrical release.
- Data security and archiving: The studio ensures protection of assets and personal information, especially for high-profile or unreleased content.
