The new Italiano logo design by UBlac is a vibrant reimagining of a beloved culinary brand, striking a thoughtful balance between authenticity and charm.

Designed to help the brand stand out in an increasingly competitive food scene, the refreshed identity speaks to Italiano’s core strengths while positioning it for growth in Oman’s F&B market.

The challenge? Create a visual identity that stands out in a sea of food and beverage logos while staying true to the brand’s values.

To address this, UBlac rendered the Italiano name in a bold, clean sans-serif font, giving it a contemporary, approachable presence. The typography is distinctive yet legible, embodying warmth and simplicity.

Italiano Branding

Perhaps the most striking feature is the curved line connecting the two “A” letters in “ITALIANO”. This clever visual metaphor symbolizes a stretchy string of mozzarella and a smiling mouth.

The red hue used evokes the warmth of rustic Italian kitchens and traditional tomato-based flavors. This color choice feels appetizing and grounded, suited to an Italian brand with over a decade of culinary history.

To balance the warmth, a green basil leaf replaces the dot over the “I,” symbolizing freshness and reinforcing the brand’s organic, flavor-first appeal.

This single green accent also adds contrast and draws the eye, making the logo pop across applications.

Aside from the aesthetic appeal, these colors are a nod to the signature red, white, and green of the Italian flag, adding a nationalistic touch to the logo.
