So sphiscated accounting systems I must say. For what? Never saw an irs payable in any return they asked me to prepare although I’m no licensed accountant. No names no whistle just a honest google review. Makes me wonder what an accountant does, cooking books or AICPA reporting them. No mark up in my basis. The roc building is beyond comprehension though, they even do SNL up or down stairs never got to see a show so I don’t know

As an accounting firm I would give them 1 star. I recently discovered a litany of deductions they failed to consider. You will be given an EA, which is just a glorified tax preparer. They will know nothing and be slow to reply. You might as well get your taxes done by H&R block or a proper independent CPA. If these folks do your taxes, get prepared for a larger tax bill. I strongly advise against it.

I've had a great experience working with WCG CPA & Advisors, especially with Jose Castro-Antunez, EA. I recently started a business and wasn't very familiar with tax preparation and planning. Jose and his team have been extremely helpful--very knowledgeable, professional, and responsive. In the past, I had negative experiences with several accountants who either didn't answer my questions or were slow to respond. With Jose and his team, it's been the complete opposite. I've asked a lot of questions, and they've always been patient and thorough in explaining things to me. Let me start with the positives to be fair: The team has always been professional in their communication and onboarding felt easy and welcoming a few months ahead of tax time.But when it was time for actual filings to happen, it started to fall apart.WCG says they're great at S-Corp elections, both on their website and client comms -- saying they have a "100% success rate". But sadly they failed on mine. 8 months later, the IRS confirmed to both myself and a new CPA firm that they never received the retroactive election from WCG. I asked, bumped, and probed the team several times to follow-up on this... and I felt like our conversation just went in circles.Asking simple questions were also just too much to get a straight forward answer on. And in the final state tax filing, there was an error that would have added an additional $900 in fees added to my total cost, further showing the lack of detail WCG had on my file.Because of this failure, it caused the later federal and state filings to be rejected -- something they had no awareness, stemming from the lack of awareness of the IRS never receiving the initial S-Corp retro election. It now has caused a ripple effect on my business and personal filings... This has already triggered several thousands in penalties, and I'm having to pay for documents to be drafted once more by another firm.I'm not sure if the firm is now oversubscribed with clients, but things are not in alignment with what it seems others typically experience. I would suggest business owners look elsewhere to ensure your filings are accurate.

My wife and I used this firm to prepare our taxes one year on a family recommendation and they were a total joke. We had to send back our taxes twice because they couldn't even get our names right the first time, and the second time they didn't get our Social Security Numbers right. Given the fact that we sent them our previous two years of returns with our names and SSNs correctly printed all over the returns, it's astounding that such basic errors happened. Who knows what other errors were on that year's returns... On top of that they charged $500 for a very basic return and basically required us to fill out all the boxes on our forms instead of taking all the forms and preparing the taxes. We had to spoon feed them everything and basically did our taxes ourselves. Suffice it to say we never used them again after that.

EIDE BAILLY CHARGED ME $1,325.00 FOR A STANDARD TAX RETURN!!!I had been using Eide Bailly since I graduated college a few years ago. David Frank was always the guy I dealt with, and it was always expensive, and never impressive. I would have to pay about $600 if I recall for a standard tax return in the past. PLUS I would call with what seemed like a simple question during the year and he would "need to check". After hours passed he would call back with an answer and a bill would sometimes follow for something like $100.In April 2012 David Frank did my taxes as usual, but when the bill came it was for $1,325.00 !!!!!! I was shocked, he said it was because I had got married in 2012 and he "HAD TO CALL" ANOTHER GUY AT ANOTHER EIDE BAILLY IN MINNEAPOLIS, MN TO BE SURE THAT DID NOT REQUIRE SPECIAL CONSIDERATION ON THE TAX RETURN... AND HE BILLED FOR HOURS OF TALK TIME *TIMES* 2 PEOPLE. And the answer was **NO THIS DOES NOT AFFECT THE TAX RETURN!!** IT WAS A WASTED CALL!! And they billed my and my new wife $1,325.00!! Do you know how much that is to a couple newly weds!!!I asked David if he felt that was fair, and he said YES!!!

Everyone at this firm has always treated me nicely and with respect. I was late getting all my necessary information to file my return and therefore needed to file an extension. They took care of this and that helped me a lot since I am in a wheelchair most of the time. We will never use them again. They made some big errors on our 2023 tax return and then wanted to argue when we questioned them. The lady actually started yelling at us. We finally went to a CPA for a review and we were correct. These people claim that everything is rechecked for accuracy which is not exactly true. Save your money and go to a competent CPA

I will definitely add this breach of confidentiality to my complaints with the BBB and Colorado State Board.Attempting to play victim instead of taking responsibility for your actions will get you nowhere.DO NOT hire this company unless you have about $10K to flush down the toilet.I first contacted this company in the Spring of 2025, and my final payment (after the $1750 down payment) of $7k was cleared in early May.As of today, August 5, there has been NO WORK done on my case. I found out today after hounding them again that one of the people assigned to my case went on maternity leave, and the company did not see fit to inform me of this at all.I am currently in the process of requesting a full refund, and I'm hoping their complete ineptitude and disregard for their clients does not extend to their refund department.Don't worry, I will definitely keep you posted.

We found ourselves in the hands of QBO after our previous accountant merged her practice with theirs. We didn't feel great about the process in working with them for tax prep and pursued other help after one year. Our new accountant caught a major error within minutes of scanning through our QBO filings which cost us well over $2,000 at the time.We followed up with their team to understand how an error like that could have happened. I was assured by the president that he would personally investigate; I never heard back.

Please do your research before having anything to do with this company. Choosing them has been one of the worst decisions of our lives. We chose them based on their largely positive Google reviews. And while Matt is certainly the ring leader, the entire company (Debbie, Annie, and Elee) consists of people who are missing morals, ethics, and any sense of societal responsibility. When Matt did our taxes we owed 20k. When I hired a third party to redo our taxes because something felt wrong, we received an 11k refund. That's nearly 100k of exaggerated income. Not to mention the fact that they owe us an additional 70k. The efforts we are going to have to make to get our money back is going to cost us an excessive amount of time, energy, and resources. But, we've worked really hard for our money and we are motivated to get it back.

Had a terrible experience with Gheen & Co. They managed our books and taxes for a few years. From the beginning the communication was spotty, they never answer the phone and get back to emails at a snails pace. On top of that they missed $40,000 in taxes we owed and never alerted us it was due. We had to hire a third party book keeper and it took them months to fix the mess they made in our quickbooks. After canceling with them they sent us a bill for our 2023 tax filing with was completed looong time ago.

I would not be in business if it were not for ReliAscent. I’m a Scientist with a Small Business; no one here knows diddly about the complexities of Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements; the Government requires conformance to such for contracts of $100K or more, and the DCAA-personnel are not permitted to help. I had been selected for a $1 Mil Phase 2 SBIR contract but was required to have an accounting and administrative system I could not understand. I was told by DCAA that all the Federal Accounting Regulations (FAR) were published on-line and all I had to do was read them. No one here had an extra lifetime to read and understand all that. Fortunately I found ReliAscent. They had literally decades of experience and were able to provide a completely DCAA-compliant back-office for my business so I could get back to doing what I do best, discovering new science and developing new technology.Thanks to all the ReliAscent folks for doing a great job.I'd give them six stars, but I'm only allowed five.
