I was looking for a tax partner/strategist to help with my personal, business, and real estate tax planning. Lynn called me back on April 15 (tax deadline), despite it being possibly the busiest day of the year. After I told him what I needed, he explained that they are not taking on new clients, but he referred me to another accountant with the right specialty. So sphiscated accounting systems I must say. For what? Never saw an irs payable in any return they asked me to prepare although I’m no licensed accountant. No names no whistle just a honest google review. Makes me wonder what an accountant does, cooking books or AICPA reporting them. No mark up in my basis. The roc building is beyond comprehension though, they even do SNL up or down stairs never got to see a show so I don’t know

NOW CFO did a great job helping my aunt's nail salon business clean up their books. Their old accountant wasn't using GAAP financials. NOW CFO made our numbers GAAP quickly and gave timely, clean, helpful financial reporting every month. They did such a nice job we kept them in as our long-term, permanent solution on the finance and accounting side.Highly recommended!

We tried hiring a fraction CFO to help clean up finances. Tens of thousands of dollars and 10 months later we were in a worse spot than where we began.We had two separate companies review the work done by Now CFO and both of them said it was the worst set of financials that they’ve ever seen. Despite multiple calls, all the evidence in the world, they were unable to acknowledge they did anything less than perfect work.They are the most expensive, over $200 per hour, for a fractional CFO. Unfortunately it was a complete waste of money and disappointing that we received no help and had to redo almost everything that they did.

Unfortunately we did not have a favorable experience with WSRP. We provided the information they needed by the dates they requested and then followed up to ask about the status. They gave vague answers and then missed the federal deadline to get 1099s out to our investors. The tax returns for our 2 partnerships were completed well and on time but at 3-5 times the cost of our previous CPA (it was in the thousands instead of hundreds for the same service). When we asked the status of our personal return a few days before the federal deadline, they said they wouldn't get it done in time and filed an extension. They said they would have a draft copy to us by the end of the week and didn't. When I emailed asking about it, they gave another deadline and missed it again. This is my first time leaving a negative review online. Hopefully others are receiving better service than we did, but it was not a good experience for us.

Helpside makes it nearly impossible to obtain employer-supplemented healthcare due to their idiosyncratic method of defining a "full-time" employee. Despite averaging over 30 hours per week over a 5 month period, they refused to qualify me because a week-long vacation put me "under 30 hours" during one of my pay periods. They require some absurd number of consecutive weeks working over 30 hours before qualifying, so if you miss a day of work, you reset a 3-month eligibility process. I have been working as a full-time employee for 8 months now with a consistent schedule, but because of an occasional vacation day, I have yet to obtain benefits despite my employer instructing them to provide the benefits that are part of my compensation package.Other employees have been threatened or simply had their coverage canceled for single instances of dropping below the 30 hour mark.If you're an employer promising a benefits package to employees, beware of their inflexible process. If not incurring a legal liability, your employees certainly aren't going to be happy with coverage you supposedly offer.

While nice people, I never felt my business was appreciated. Despite a hefty bill, I haven’t felt confident with the service I was provided as I have had continuing tax issues that were to be resolved with little to no communication let alone assistance. I had an initial meeting with a cpa who came recommended and was pawned off to an assistant who did help greatly through initial confusion but after the return process was “completed” I feel written off as Ive received more notices from what was to be a resolved tax year. Im sure they do good work as my parents have been satisfied with them but unless they’re handling or see you have substantial finances, you’re nothing to them.

24 reviews (now 25!) and not a single rating below 5 stars. There’s a reason for that. Like many have mentioned Adam and team (shout out to Andrew! 🤓) are absolutely stellar at their profession. They truly treat your business as if it were their own, but their excellent skills are only half of the equation for me. The other is that I’ve never actually *enjoyed* working with tax professionals before. It’s one thing to be excellent at tax code and numbers, it’s another to be excellent humans, and Adam and Andrew are both. And tbh, I think that rises to unicorn status in the tax prep world. You can’t go wrong with Leaf. ⭐️⭐️
