We were introduced to KDG back in October 2024. They were recommended by a sister company of ours. Our goal was to transition from multiple programs to one program to help streamline and automate as many processes as possible. In order to accomplish this, we needed a company like KDG to help with the customization of the program to accommodate the different needs of the different roles within our organization. They've spent so much time with us, starting with each employee to understand what they need - They've truly been a partner. Had a terrible experience with Gheen & Co. They managed our books and taxes for a few years. From the beginning the communication was spotty, they never answer the phone and get back to emails at a snails pace. On top of that they missed $40,000 in taxes we owed and never alerted us it was due. We had to hire a third party book keeper and it took them months to fix the mess they made in our quickbooks. After canceling with them they sent us a bill for our 2023 tax filing with was completed looong time ago.

I had someone from this company messaged me about what seemed to be an interesting job posting at first glance. I tried to ask them a question about the job posting. They tried to dodge the question more than once, refusing to answer me. Also, according to their recruiter, they got my resume, which is clearly outdated, from some scammy website. Claimed to have called my number but clearly isn’t the case. They act very aggressive too.If they do contact you, run.

I wanted to reach out and personally thank Brown Edwards! Specifically Bradley. I recently lost my mother, father and brother and inherited some money and investments. Me, being a scared 20 something year old grieving the loss of my family, reached out to my financial advisor who told me brown edwards could help me. He notified me in advanced of the expensive cost of their services but I was more than willing to pay the price to have peace of mind and the help of experts. I called brown edwards and was transferred to Bradley P. We discussed the cost and I notified him I was more than willing to pay that price. Bradley laughed and kindly notified me that they typically only handle the “top of the top in Roanoke”and said i could be better served by a company that rhymes with “hr clock”. So, I contacted that company and guess what? The man I spoke with actually used to work for Brown Edwards! He left his position there to travel the world and Spend time with his family, And he was able to help me and my silly step up in basis concerns, at only a fraction of the cost! So I personally would love to thank Bradley for laughing in the face of a scared young woman who lost each and every one of her immediate family members, for making me cry when I was at my lowest, and recommending a different company. I will also add the receptionist was 10/10 she was very sweet and apologized on his behalf

Wells Coleman & Co is the absolute best, and here's why:The first time I walked into the Wells Coleman & Co offices, it was 2009 and my mother had just passed away. My broker had recommended them to me and that was the best thing to ever happen to me. Being such an emotional time in my life, they were quick to explain everything very thoroughly to me no matter how many times I needed to be reminded of the steps I needed to take. Sikich is an extremely valuable part of our organization from large scale projects and day to day IT help. I can't imagine having anyone other than Sikich as our IT support, they are truly the best!! The NOC team provides such amazing service to our employees on a daily basis no matter how small the issue may be. Our account managers and support team are very responsive and knowledgeable, too. They make you feel secure and confident knowing that they're handling all IT aspects. Everyone is very detailed, precise, and helpful. This firm is parasitic and useless. Terrible service. If they didn’t exist, the world would be a better place. They are rude, incompetent, and exist only to stick their blood funnel in to anything that smells like money. They have no concept of serving their clients; if you are forced by a family court to sign their engagement letter, they only serve themselves. Abject greed and institutionalized theft. They add zero value. It took six months to get them to process a QDRO that was supposed to be made within 30 days. They then used the last four digits of my ex-wife’s SSN on their password protected draft order. Why would I know that? Again, these are not nice people. Do not retain if you can avoid them. They seem to be part of the parasitic ecosystem around family courts and divorce proceedings; they do not add any value at all. Just another leech profiting from other people’s pain. They are a net drag on everything. They should not exist.

Computer technology has vastly improved many of our lives, even in the non-profit world. The issues are cost, reliability and maintenance. It is too much for a small business owner to become an expert in these areas. I'm not even sure it is possible. Having a partner - a paid vendor, yes, but a still a partner that respects your budget, responds quickly to problems as they arrive, and proactively seeks to protect your network from crashes and malware is invaluable. We feel like we have that partner with Whittlesey Technologies. Every year we meet to discuss vendor agreements and performance. Whittlesey Technologies has never been considered for replacement. They are our partner.

Don't go to Honeck O'Toole. They overcharged us, would not tell us why when we asked. We were clients for 2 years and they dropped us without warning during tax season. It is extremely unprofessional for them to dropped us at time where it makes it impossible for us to find another accountant in time to be able to file our taxes on time. Don't use them.

We used Honeck O'Toole for over two years. The first year we had no issues, we paid $400 for our return and had a good relationship with Sue and Joyce.The second year everything was going well, until we received an invoice for 6x (2400+) the previous year's return. We had spoken to them on several occasions and were expecting a higher bill, however we were expecting maybe 500-600 more, not 2000 more!We asked for an itemized invoice since we were shocked and confused by the 600% markup. We ultimately called and paid the invoice in full and offered to prepay for the upcoming tax return since we wanted to salvage the relationship and we were late paying the previous bill since we needed to understand the charges. We were told by Kathy that she needed to check on the cost and would get back to us. We then received a letter in the mail, firing us as a client in the MIDDLE OF FEBRUARY.
