For a new business owner, issues of business plans, financing, and product timelines were a lot to juggle. Branding is way outside my expertise. I had been mulling over the name for my yet-to-be-created publishing company for a few months. When I finally narrowed down the options, I knew what I had to do next - give Gavin a call and get his expert advice. Gavin listened very carefully. He provided insightful advice and helped me work through the rationale for selecting the brand name. In the end, it was none of the options on my list, but a variation of one. It is a clever connection of books to trees, and the tree that I had much fascination with, the famous Torrey Pine tree in La Jolla CA - the town in which the idea was born. I was so happy with it: Storrey Pine LLC. Shortly after my call, I completed a brand brief for the logo design. The brief was very simple to complete and allowed me to provide my preferences for the logo, including pictures of the true Torrey pine cones. A few weeks later, I had a slide deck in hand with nine logo options, each with its own name for easy reference, created by Bhupesh, a very talented designer. They were all strikingly beautiful - each had captured the natural beauty and majesty of the Torrey pine cone. I had a call with Gavin, who walked me through each of the images and helped me understand the design considerations - balance, symmetry, typography, and the ability for the logo to display well in black and white. I selected 2 designs from the deck for further development, along with a request for some modifications. Bhupesh did some experiments on the designs and provided a rationale for what would and would not work. The logo which I finally selected for development is called "Coniferous" and uses the print-block technique, where the pine cone and the nib are traditional while the print is modern. Next, Bhupesh very thoughtfully put together a “creative explorations” slide deck with some mockups of the logo applied to a business card, letterhead, books, and a tote bag to give me a sense of how my logo would look in real world settings. Finally, I received my brand identity kit with high-resolution images of the logo for print and business cards, as well as images for social media.Gavin and Bhupesh delivered a very high-quality product with creativity, professionalism, and thoughtful attention to detail. They are masters of their space and their art. I am delighted with the brand name and logo for my company.

Bought 2 of these things. Not an AC unit by any stretch, its a fan. It's a squirrel cage battery fan. Runs about 3 hours on a charge. Barely blows and air. Doesn't cool down the room at all, even a tiny room like my bathroom. It's just a fan and not a very good one. I learned my lesson to do more independent research and not just rely on the sellers review. Your mileage will not vary, this is a bad choice.

I just wanted to share a very negative experience I had with FUSE Marketing. They won't pay you on time and leave you in the dark as to what's going on. They're constantly changing dates, shifts and have no problem asking you to work a 4 hour shift at the airport without covering the high parking expenses you incur. If you start to ask questions or speak up about certain issues, you'll get a rude call from the Event Supervisor referring to herself as 'your superior.' I've been in the Experiential Marketing industry over 6 years, worked with most of the companies out there and FUSE is the worst.

We're lucky to have so many great spots to choose from downtown. Alfie's is different and has its own thing going on in terms of experience of taste and texture profile. Would recommend 🙂My friend and I both ordered the Torrino and unfortunately it just didn't hit the spot or leave much to be desired. With these kinds of sandwiches for me, it's a 'you know when you know' experience when something excites and satisfies during and even after the fact.Though the bread is made fresh in-house and has a nice taste, we found it to be too soft and prefer a classic foccacia to compliment the savour and texture of the ingredients inside. We were also underwhelmed at how the flavours really noticeably lacked separation in the variety we got. Everything melded together in such a way that gave just one dimension to the experience of every bite. We couldn't taste the cheese, the meat was little in quantity (though it tasted excellent), and the arugula didn't do much for the sandwich. The spicy eggplant dominated the flavour. For $21 before taxes, we found it just didn't amaze and had too little prosciutto. These comments though are just our personal preference, by no means are these sandwiches *bad* tasting.. they are undoubtedly fresh and are made with care. The shop itself is clean and the operation is well-organized, friendly, and sufficiently staffed. I appreciate that they are open late, and it is for that reason that I will consider returning.

The service is great, orders are fast, but the food isn't very good.The sandwich is built to be "instagramable", aka a beautiful cross section of ham, cheese and spreads. When there is half an inch worth of ham and cheese and spreads in a sandwich, it is a true culinary artwork but also a brick of salt.Half an inch worth of prosciutto in a sandwich is way too much. It overpowers the beautifully done bread, some of the glazes and other sauces and layers in the sandwich.For the second half of the sandwhich, I took out the brick of prosciutto and it was almost perfect. The bread is a real star but the amount of filling and salt is sickening. It is an Italian sandwich with American proportions. Very pleasing to look at but quite heavy to eat.

Although I am usually a meat lover, I decided to try the Mozzarella Caprese sandwich, and it did not disappoint.The first thing that stood out was the excellent customer service and the neat, clean ambience of the place. Everything felt well-organized and thoughtfully run. My sandwich was made with freshly baked in-house bread, which was outstanding — soft, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The imported mozzarella tasted fresh and creamy, pairing beautifully with the lemon–basil crush and arugula, creating a bright and well-balanced flavor profile.One small issue was the balsamic vinegar, which felt a bit heavy-handed. It was dripping off the sandwich and slightly overpowered the other ingredients. A lighter touch would have made the sandwich even better. That said, the overall taste and quality were still excellent.Compared to a standard Subway sandwich, the price here is definitely higher. However, the quality of ingredients and craftsmanship clearly justify the cost. This is not fast food — it’s a thoughtfully prepared sandwich made with premium components, and that difference is noticeable.Alfie’s does not offer much traditional dine-in seating, which is understandable given the layout. There is standing space available inside for customers who wish to eat on-site. However, since dine-in seating is limited, I did expect that some of that cost-saving might reflect in the sandwich pricing, which I didn’t really see.Overall, it was a great experience, and I will definitely return to try more items from their menu.
