Results of surveys conducted by this company are not valid and cannot be useful because their methodologies are wildly unethical. I received several requests by mail to participate in a survey being conducted by this company on behalf of OHA. I chose NOT to participate in the survey, which asked personal and confidential questions about mental health history and substance use, because i am a practicing psychotherapist, and I do not make these kinds of disclosures to anyone who is not my doctor. Eventually, several "researchers" (marketers) showed up at my home address to pressure me into responding to their survey, even noticing the "no solicitation, please" sign on my door and commenting "we're not here to sell anything." First of all, anyone door knocking as part of a research study should have a baseline understanding of what the word "solicit" means, which means TO ASK FOR SOMETHING, like for example, responses to a survey. Secondly, no survey in which participants are "selected" and then pressured to make disclosures about their personal and confidential health information at the threshold of their own homes is ethical. if responses were not collected ethically, then i simply do not see how the results of such a survey could be unbiased and informative in any way. As a tax payer whose dollars likely contributed to the hiring of this firm, i'm angry about the waste of money, and also about being harassed at my own home. Furthermore, it upsets me that the results of surveys that have not passed through any formal review process can be published and presented alongside information that has. this is precisely the kind of thing that undermines legitimate and useful research, biasing lawmakers and constituents alike. Ick.

Spent 15 minutes doing a survey that promised $25, but when I got to the end after it asked me to confirm the email address I want the gift card sent to, I next got the following message instead of the $25 gift card: "Thank you for your interest in taking this survey, however, the survey has already reached the required number of respondents. We appreciate your willingness to share your opinions with us." I think that would have been good to know BEFORE having me take the entire survey. Really poor customer service process. The people who answer the phone are nice and positive. But, the truth is, you're not actually allowed to talk to anyone. I simply wanted to discuss their service offerings before I submitted a request. I find it useful to check alignment before putting effort into a detailed request. I called four times. First time, no one was available to talk and I was offered a call back. The call back didn't happen. Second time, I was just repeatedly told I had to fill in the online form, despite having told them I wanted to have a brief chat first. Third time my call was cut off without explanation. Fourth time, the person I spoke to was very helpful and tenacious, called through to a number of people, no one would talk - I was offered a call back in half an hour. It didn't happen. It seems to me that the reception team are repeatedly let down by the experts in the back office - typical poor implementation of a customer service process. The reception make promises that the professionals don't/can't/won't fulfil. It gives a very poor impression of an organisation. I spoke to a number of other market research agencies and they were all easy to get hold of and happy to have an initial chat. This lot - couldn't get through to them. It's a joke, as they have a number on their website - why have a number on your website if people actually can't do anything useful when calling that number. Even if they call me back now, I won't deal with them. Their credibility and professinalism is poor.

I have worked at Perceptive Analytics for approximately 10 months and my time at the company was awesome, to say the least. I have learnt a lot about sales and marketing which will be helpful for me going ahead. I also had a lot of freedom to experiment in my role, which was instrumental in enhancing my experience. The tasks I attended to were not limited to a specific domain but that only helped in increasing the potential of the job and though challenging, the role was equally rewarding for me. The work atmosphere is very good and the hours are very flexible. All the policies of the company are explained to the employees well in advance so as to avoid any confusion. The only problem that I've come across is that at times, you may have to work a little extra during peak season: like working for a while over the weekend or staying back for a while after working hours. On such occasions, work-life balance would take a hit. Work from home policy helps in these cases, though. I would definitely recommend working at Perceptive Analytics.
