  • Project Brief: Design an interactive finance website that transforms complex fintech market data into intuitive visualizations with dynamic charts, filters, and company benchmarking tools.

Most finance websites hand you a static PDF and call it a report. The F-Prime Fintech Index goes the other way, turning a year of market data into something you can actually poke at.

At its core it solves a comparison problem. The index follows emerging public fintech companies against the EMCLOUD Index, the NASDAQ, and the S&P 500. That is the one thing a spreadsheet handles badly: seeing how the sector stacks up against the benchmarks everyone already watches. The headline strip answers that before you scroll an inch, posting the Fintech Index at +66.2% next to NASDAQ and S&P's stats.

The charts are where GoingClear did the real work. The site pulls live data through an API and draws it with the D3 JavaScript library, so the graphs respond instead of just sitting there. Hovering the timeline gives you the exact value for each index on a given date. On a finance website that responsiveness is the whole point, since the gap between 40% and 44% is what a reader came for, and a flat image would lose it.

It also fits the way analysts poke at numbers. A Head-to-Head view puts two companies next to each other across market cap, revenue multiple, and growth rate, while the multiple benchmark and sector charts lay out growth, revenue, and profit ratios across the field. Filters for sector and IPO type let you drop down to payments, banking, lending, or wealth and still see the big incumbents in each one, so the page ends up working like a research tool rather than a brochure.

All that depth stays easy to move through. A floating header and a clean nav dropdown keep the download, share, and section links within reach no matter how far you scroll, and a dark, data-forward homepage with a wireframe hero eases you in before the bright dashboards take over. It holds up as credible on a phone, laptop, and desktop alike, which is the test that matters for a public financial index.
