twice now this year, NCRI has mistakenly reported something to collections under my name. the first time i managed to get it removed by equifax, but when it appeared on my report again today, i called NCRI directly and tried to sort it out with them so it doesn't happen again. the first lady i spoke to was incredibly rude and sarcastic - when i corrected her on some wrong information she was giving, she snapped "do you want to come here and do my job then" and ended up hanging up on me. the second lady was very helpful when i called back and confirmed they don't have any open files on me and this was probably a reporting error, which was later confirmed by equifax and it was removed a second time.i understand being a debt collector is probably an unpleasant job, but when you have people actively reaching out trying to resolve issues, you'd expect some degree of professionalism. also, mistakenly reporting someone to collections twice and damaging their credit score is a pretty big oversight on their end. first time ever dealing with this company and i'm unimpressed.

Honestly unacceptable. My appointment was cancelled at the exact time it was supposed to start, with no call, just an email from the accountant Sunith Varkey at the appointment time saying « Hi MaryApologies, we are unable to take on new tax filing requests at this stage of tax season.The filing deadline is in 2 days. »A complete lack of respect for clients’ time.There was also zero warning of cancellation from the person who scheduled the appointment. This is even more frustrating considering I wasn’t asking for a full service, just a bit of guidance on a specific issue. Sunith did not even consider to take time to know why I was reaching out.With an important deadline just two days away, this level of unprofessionalism is shocking. If you value your time and expect basic professionalism, I would strongly recommend going elsewhere.

There is a reason this company only had one review as of 12/30/2025. I think they are very new and have no idea what they are doing. It's taken months to have them review bank statements and create simple Profit and Loss Statements for a business with less than 2800 total transactions over 2.5 years. I have had to do most of the work and spent hours correcting their attempts at bookkeeping. I needed the task completed quickly and they said they could get it done but failed to deliver.It feels like they are just trying to use AI to have the work completed and it's all wrong. I am seeking a refund and might have to resort to a credit card charge back. You get what you pay for or in this case I didn't get anything that I paid for.

Extremely Disappointing Experience with Acuity Bookkeeping and Accounting ServicesI hired Acuity to help with bookkeeping and accounting, but the results were frustrating and unprofessional. Instead of properly categorizing transactions and providing accurate reports, almost everything was labeled as "uncategorized," making the books completely unreliable.They set up several automated apps that required me to pay extra subscription fees. None of these tools integrated correctly, and they only made the situation more confusing. Rather than helping me gain financial clarity, their system created more problems and wasted both time and money.I was hoping for experienced support and clean financial records, but what I received was a disorganized mess. I would not recommend Acuity to anyone looking for dependable accounting services.
