So sphiscated accounting systems I must say. For what? Never saw an irs payable in any return they asked me to prepare although I’m no licensed accountant. No names no whistle just a honest google review. Makes me wonder what an accountant does, cooking books or AICPA reporting them. No mark up in my basis. BEWARE. We are an Australian firm who sought advice on engaging a US based employee. From the initial meeting with Janathan Allen, we were given incorrect, misleading advice that resulted in a huge financial loss and months of wasted time and stress. When we reversed our decision and trusted the firm to help us out of the situation, they were non-responsive and did not follow through with the required actions.Incredibly poor customer service. They told us what we wanted to hear - for example, they stated that as a foreign entity, we were able to open a US bank account and that they even had clients who had achieved this outcome. That information turned out to be incorrect.Be very wary about using this firm.

ORBA did my taxes last year, charged an absolutely ludicrous amount for a tax return and basic "financial planning", and still somehow got the state tax return wrong (the state sent me an unexpected refund a year later). Their financial planning included advice like "sell the stock that vests in September 2021 to generate income for this purchase in March 2021". They probably charge so much because they've mastered time travel. I had a CPA before them who did a better job for 15% of the cost.

Though I had my information there on 3/3 and met with Bruce on 3/10, a month later I still have no information on my return or how much I owe. He indicated it was " probably a standard return". A phone call from me a month later revealed that they were e-mailing a question to an incorrect address. When they got no response for 2 weeks, they did not try a phone number. Someone other than Bruce was doing my return and did not have the information given to Bruce on the 10th of March. Seems their recent merger adversely effected their communications. In a week I have to mail in my return. I still do not know if I owe $6, $600 or $6000.
