We've hired Hawke Commercial Filmmaking for various projects over the years and have been extremely happy with their services. Rich Hawke and Lisa Vidal are both total professionals who have vast technical knowledge while keeping a fun, friendly, and professional demeanor. It's hard to feel comfortable on video but they do a fantastic job creating a comfortable environment while still getting top notch footage.

I had the pleasure of working with Richard Hawke and his team in the production of a video for one of our charitable events. As the Director of Marketing & Communications for a non-profit, our budget for videos is limited; however, we want to have the best quality product for the dollars we have. Working with Hawke Commercial Filmmaking was wonderful because they set expectations upfront about what could be achieved within our budget parameters, but the experience of working with the team and the end product surpassed those expectations. Richard and his team were great to work with, true partnership and collaborative environment, and the final video was a hit at our event! I would gladly work with Hawke again in the future and highly recommend to anyone.

Roger Aarons from Aarons CGI was very much part of the Rio Tinto Innovation team. His animations were amazing - accurate, engaging, effective and were used at all levels of engagement including folks with deep technical expertise, lay persons, and senior management. So you have an idea- the next big thing-CONGRATULATIONS! What next? For me as an engineer, it's always a meeting with Roger from Aarons CGI. Why? Animations are the ultimate minimum viable product (MVP) for many concepts, and with Aarons CGI I always get three times the value compared to platform giggers (like Fiverr). How so? 1. Amazing Quality: The finished product is always amazing in terms of the rendering and the physics (if it involves movement). In most instances, the animation was better than I imagined (and I have a good imagination!). 2. Fresh Eye Review: Unlike job-shops, Roger doesn't just simply animate your emailed storyboard; he becomes an extended part of your team for a time, making the effort to get down in the weeds in order to understand your concept/vision as well as your message and the intended audience. This review process (go slow to go fast) is of incredible value because it makes you think things through (forces slow thinking), and the innocent questions raised by Roger are the same as your viewer will have. In many instances, the concept has been materially improved as a result! Let's face it, inventors are often blind to the needs and perspectives of their "customers". 3. One Take: This is where the ‘go slow to go fast’ strategy pays off with the final step proceeding quickly and efficiently in a single step, to the agreed schedule. How? Simple, all the issues have been ironed out beforehand (step 2). Seemingly cheaper options usually work out much more expensive and take longer to do, because you do the job more than once (typically 3 iterations). So...Got a concept? Take my advice, the next stop should be Aarons CGI for an MVP with 3x the value!

Jim from Blue Ocean Productions recently helped my church with livestream issues that we've been having over the past year. The problem involved the video lagging significantly behind the audio with the lag getting progressively worse throughout the duration of the stream. Jim was brought in to diagnose the issue, and after sending him some information about our set-up, computer specs, etc., he was able to spend a couple of hours with me and another church elder testing various settings in the streaming software, OBS, as well as other settings for the computer, mixer and wireless microphone. Ultimately, we determined that we'll need a more powerful PC, but Jim was able to help us adjust certain settings so that we can have a stable video stream with synced audio. The ultimate test will be this Sunday when we stream our church service for 60+ minutes, but we're optimistic that the help Jim provided will lead to success. Jim was knowledgeable, kind and patient throughout this process, and I would recommend his company to anyone looking for some tech support.
