They have multiple offices and addresses posted online. One time I drove to Sherwood Park, and it was not the right place. Then I had to email to confirm which address they were at. They did my taxes during tax season, and it was fine. But I asked to set an appointment to discuss my RDSP. The receptionist told me on two separate occasions that they'd get ahold of me after tax season. I still have yet to hear from them. When I'd go into the office it seemed disorganized, I can understand Tax Season is very busy and a lot of paperwork but keep in mind this is confidential information, and paperwork should be left all over the place where everyone can see.

Extremely Disappointing Experience with Acuity Bookkeeping and Accounting Services I hired Acuity to help with bookkeeping and accounting, but the results were frustrating and unprofessional. Instead of properly categorizing transactions and providing accurate reports, almost everything was labeled as "uncategorized," making the books completely unreliable. They set up several automated apps that required me to pay extra subscription fees. None of these tools integrated correctly, and they only made the situation more confusing. Rather than helping me gain financial clarity, their system created more problems and wasted both time and money. I was hoping for experienced support and clean financial records, but what I received was a disorganized mess. I would not recommend Acuity to anyone looking for dependable accounting services.

CSI Accounting may try to spin this by saying they offered me a new accountant or that taking onboarding fees from my account—after our relationship was terminated—was warranted. It was not. The truth: I received no tax advice, no business guidance, and no real onboarding. The only thing they provided was payroll, which I paid for separately. My assigned tax person came to our meeting without reviewing my file, admitted to being new to the systems, and openly struggled to use them. Charging me for this is indefensible. Withholding services, then helping themselves to my business account after termination, destroyed any trust. Whatever they claim, the fact is simple: I paid for services I never received. I hired CSI Accounting to support my business with the expectation of receiving high-quality service based on their confident promises. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing. Despite the strong sales pitch, they failed to deliver on key aspects of their service. When I raised concerns and requested a fair negotiation regarding payment for services that were never rendered, they abruptly ended our relationship “effective immediately.” I then began formally disputing those charges through my American Express account. Rather than respond to the dispute in good faith or allow the process to play out, CSI took an entirely inappropriate step: they bypassed the dispute process and directly accessed my business checking account—without my consent—to withdraw the same funds. This withdrawal occurred more than a week after our business relationship had already been terminated and without any form of authorization from me. I did not give permission for this transaction, and their actions represent a serious breach of both trust and professional ethics.

Don't go to Honeck O'Toole. They overcharged us, would not tell us why when we asked. We were clients for 2 years and they dropped us without warning during tax season. We used Honeck O'Toole for over two years. The first year we had no issues, we paid $400 for our return and had a good relationship with Sue and Joyce. The second year everything was going well, until we received an invoice for 6x (2400+) the previous year's return. We had spoken to them on several occasions and were expecting a higher bill, however we were expecting maybe 500-600 more, not 2000 more! We asked for an itemized invoice since we were shocked and confused by the 600% markup. We ultimately called and paid the invoice in full and offered to prepay for the upcoming tax return since we wanted to salvage the relationship and we were late paying the previous bill since we needed to understand the charges. We were told by Kathy that she needed to check on the cost and would get back to us. We then received a letter in the mail, firing us as a client in the MIDDLE OF FEBRUARY.

Mohit and team went the extra mile and provided more than just the run of the mill services that a lot of accountants provide. We were very disappointed with our experience when we had our taxes done here last year. The cost was outrageous and the service was poor. They are aware that some Mayo employees get reimbursed $600 for the cost of tax preparation and charge these people $750. If you qualify for this reimbursement, I recommend negotiating the price before they are aware of this. We found out after the fact that this benefit is taxed, so the out-of-pocket cost is much larger than the $150 we had expected. There is nothing complicated about our taxes to justify this cost (W-2, student loan tax forms, mortgage interest, etc.). Despite the outrageous cost, we decided to go with them last year because we thought we would get a higher level of service and advice on how we can minimize our tax liability in the future. The service was, unfortunately, very poor. They provided no advice for future tax seasons and didn't respond to our emails when we had questions about how to pay the taxes that we owed. I couldn't be more thankful for Kevin and his team. We had to move to a CPA a few years ago when we created our Trust, and it was a pulling teeth type scenario each year to complete our taxes. Moving to Kevin this year was the best financial decision we have ever made, and our checking account is far happier. They combed through our last CPA's submissions, found errors, and highlighted how to improve. Sent an enquiry through the website and also directly by email but never received a response. I then called the number provided. The agent answered, but it took quite a while to figure out what was going on, so I ended up explaining my enquiry all over again. Unfortunately, the situation still seemed unclear. I called back a week later and could barely hear the agent because the microphone sounded too far away. I explained that I was following up on my previous enquiry.
