As an attorney that runs a small but busy law practice I've dealt with dozens of web designers and SEO "professionals" who all just tried to take my money. Recognizing that the web development industry was wrought with consumer fraud, I dedicated myself to learning the basics of web design and SEO in an attempt to build and develop my own website and handle my own SEO. As I was learning I found myself on a web developer forum and was reading responsses in the forum from Rodney with Connective Web Design. His knowledge on various web and SEO topics seemed superior when compared to other web professionals posting and discussing. I found his contact info, and shot him an email asking if he would be willing to look at a few things for me. Rodney immediately responded and we set a telephonic meeting to discuss the status of my project. Long story short, I quickly realized that I was in over my head in building my own site and more importantly, I realized that I had found someone who I could actually trust to build out my website and manage my SEO. Rodney, Maria and the team at Connective Web Design far exceeded my expectations. They were professional, prompt in delivery, fair in price and honest in their business dealings. The team worked tirelessly to deliver and amazing product and I couldn't be happier. Because I do not live in Los Angles we collaborated remotely using various tools, emails and video messages all at the direction of Connective Web Design. In the end, my faith was restored in an industry that has so many companies selling snake oil. I have and will continue to refer others to Connective Web Design. They make sure that all plug-ins are kept up to date. If there are any security vulnerabilities, they monitor them and keep us safe and secure. Were signing an additional scope of work with them to do a v2 project for this website upgrade. Weve had some financial constraints on our side, so weve earmarked 68 other things that we want to do, and were going to do them in 2025. Temper And Forge also helps with SEO.

That is the full extent of what I can recommend.$16,610 paid across a website build and eight-month SEO programme. When the structural failures emerged commercial content hidden from search engines from day one, a broken contact form for four months, core deliverables marked complete in their own system that had never been done the pattern became consistent and never changed. Friendly responses. Reassurance. Deferral. Not in scope. Next month.When I submitted a formal nine-section evidence package drawn from BRJ's own contracts and internal records, their response was to propose continuing the retainer at $995 per month to complete the outstanding contracted work. Every item in that proposal was already in the original contract. That proposal was their own written admission that eight months of billing had not delivered what was contracted.When I declined and requested a refund, their formal written response claimed the Scope of Work was fully executed. Their own internal documents list the same deliverables as outstanding in April 2026 that were marked complete throughout the engagement. Both documents are BRJ's. Both cannot be true.Not one specific failure was acknowledged. Not one item of evidence was addressed.Mistakes happen in every agency engagement. What defines an agency is what they do when mistakes are documented and presented. This agency's answer across every avenue, verbal and written was to engage with none of it.Before signing, ask specifically what accountability looks like when contracted work is not delivered. That answer matters more than anything in the sales process.
