TechSpeed has been a wonderful solution for our data entry needs. Their project manager is super friendly, easy to work with, extremely responsive and clear. TechSpeed swiftly got us through a rough patch when we were very backed up on data entry projects. They went above and beyond to exceed our expectations for sooner-than-expected delivery of the projects for data entry. Their QA is spot-on and very thorough. TechSpeed has been so great to work with!

Extremely disappointing experience with Answer United. We signed up expecting a professional answering service that would follow our script, properly represent our company, and provide transcripts/recordings of calls as promised. None of that happened.
Within the first weekend of service, we lost multiple jobs due to calls being handled poorly and the script not being followed. The representatives often sounded unfamiliar with our business and procedures, which reflected badly on our company.
When we requested transcripts and recordings, we were told would be available; they were never provided. Customer service was also very frustrating to deal with. When I asked for a refund because the service was not delivered as agreed, I was told they had already invested time setting up the account and script. We invested employee time into that process as well, only for the agreed-upon procedures to be ignored.
After bringing up these issues, communication largely stopped, and calls/emails went unanswered. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you want an answering service that will professionally represent your business.

I used their service for a little over a year. They are very good at taking calls and usually answer them promptly. They would then pass on the message via email, though often some things in the message didn't make it across. However, if that was all I needed, then an answering machine would have been enough, I hired them as a virtual receptionist and to make appointments. Ultimately I left their service because, after more than a year they seemed to know very little about my business, they routinely had trouble answering callers' basic questions about the business. They often bungled appointment taking and I felt they were costing me business.
I worked with them multiple times to change the script but still to no avail, they just didn't do a very good job as a VR.
I think using them as a message-taking service is fine but would not expect anything more of them.

Our favorite vendor, Answer United!
As a growing company with a handful of Customer Care staff inhouse, we had a critical need to find a partner that could handle our call influxes during prime time as well as assist in creating an Emergency Line which our clients could use that would reach our after hours manager.
Barbara and the Answer United group have exceeded our expectations in not only the quality of service, but their ability to make small, custom changes that really boost our ability to provide a higher level of communication to our customers.
Looking forward to expanding our business relationship into the 2020 year!

If you're considering working at Connexus Resource Group, brace yourself for an exhausting, demoralizing experience that will leave you burned out, underpaid, and questioning your life choices. This company operates like a modern-day sweatshop, exploiting employees with unrealistic expectations, pitiful wages, and a toxic work environment that prioritizes profits over people. The workplace culture is cutthroat and demeaning. Supervisors hover like prison guards, scrutinizing every call and nitpicking minor mistakes. Instead of support, you get constant criticism, with the ever-present threat of write-ups or termination if you don’t meet impossible metrics. Favoritism runs rampant, and HR exists only to protect the company—not the employees. Don’t be fooled by empty promises of "career advancement." Promotions are reserved for management’s favorites, while everyone else is stuck in the same dead-end role. Training is minimal, and turnover is sky-high because people either quit from exhaustion or get fired for not meeting unrealistic expectations. In conclusion, Connexus Resource Group is a call center nightmare—a place where employees are treated like cogs in a machine, worked to the bone, and discarded without a second thought. If you value your mental health, dignity, or fair pay, steer clear. There are better jobs out there—this one isn’t worth the suffering.

Working on the same position for over a year, being told I'm one of their best agents and never getting a raise and overall being treated like I don't actually matter. Would never recommend working for them to even my most hated enemy.

I would avoid working here if you can. I worked here for 5 years, and really hated it. Tried to find other work and was unable to for a long time. I ended up quitting because they were going to demote me after being a Team Lead for about 4.5 years. It was really disappointing and heartbreaking, especially since I loved my team of agents. The first couple of years were good, but after a while it just became unbearable. The last campaign I was on, Solutran, literally sucked the life out of me. My supervisor and my agents were great, but I had to fight for my agents to be treated fairly.
The company goes by Connexus Resource Group now, they merged with a few other call centers in 2021. One good thing I can say about the merger was we were finally able to get PTO after not having any paid time off at all. The pay here sucks, I was only making $15.50 for being a team lead, and that was only after 5 years of tenure. Most agents were making around $11.50 to $13. It's very hard to get raises here, so if you want to work here and not be compensated properly this might be the right place for you. Avoid this place, it will only ruin your mental health and cause you more suffering.

Great work Environment. I've had a steady income for many years at Telvista. I still enjoy my position as Intraday, and I continue to learn new skills. I love working from home, and I enjoy having a flexible schedule. Pros: I am allowed to do my job with little or no supervision, which keeps me loyal to the company. Cons: The call center is too far from home.

I've been with the company for more then 4 years. The staff is wonderful and supportive. The work atmosphere is very professional. There are plenty of opportunities to grow within the company if you are committed and put in the work.

From day one, the work environment has been supportive, and focused on personal growth. The leadership team values employees and fosters a culture of open communication and continuous development. I’m excited about the future here and feel proud to be a part of a company that is not only focused on its success but also on creating a positive impact.

What types of businesses usually use professional call answering services in the USA?
Establishments that handle a lot of time-sensitive calls often rely on inbound call center services, including:
Small businesses: According to Dialzara, each missed call can cost small businesses anywhere from $100 to $1,200, depending on the industry. Over time, missed calls can quickly add up to significant lost revenue and missed growth opportunities.
Healthcare clinics: Heavy patient call volume and strict HIPAA requirements drive demand for reliable call handling. Answer Our Phone reports that healthcare providers make up about 17% of all answering service users.
Legal firms: Quick responses to new client inquiries are critical to securing new cases. As users, legal practices represent 32% of phone answering service providers.
Home services: Trades like plumbers and electricians often handle urgent service requests. Phone calls convert to revenue 10 to 15 times more than traditional web leads.
eCommerce: Retailers use phone support to resolve product and order issues quickly, helping reduce cart abandonment.
Startups: Early-stage companies need reliable call coverage despite limited staff to capture leads and inquiries.
B2B service providers: They rely on timely phone responses for scheduling, support, and lead qualifications.
Real estate agencies: Agents use call support to manage inquiries and book property viewings when unavailable.
What services do most phone answering providers offer?
Most providers offer:
Live call answering: Responding to callers in real time instead of voicemail, ensuring callers reach a real person.
Message taking: Capturing caller details accurately when staff are unavailable, so no inquiries or leads are lost.
Call routing: Directing calls to the correct person or department to reduce delays and miscommunication.
Appointment scheduling: Booking meetings or service appointments on behalf of the business for call-driven operations.
After-hours support: Covering calls outside regular business hours when internal teams are unavailable.
Overflow handling: Managing extra call volume during peak periods to prevent long wait times and missed calls.
Basic customer support: Answering common questions and providing general assistance to maintain a consistent customer experience.
How much do inbound call center services cost in the US?
Pricing in the US varies depending on call volume, features, and the level of support a business needs. On average, an answering service provider will charge between $0.80 per minute and $1.17 per minute.
The figures below are averages compiled from multiple industry sources.
Entry-level:$75–$200 per month, typically covering basic live call answering and limited minutes.
Mid-tier: $100–$600 per month, offering more minutes along with services like call routing, message taking, and appointment scheduling.
Premium/high-volume: $1,500+ per month, usually for businesses that require extensive coverage, custom workflows, dedicated agents, or complex call handling.
The pricing schemes you can choose from when using an answering service include:
Pay by the minute
Pay per call
Monthly subscription
What additional costs should I expect from these providers?
Beyond the base monthly fee, many providers charge for add-ons or higher usage. Extra costs may include:
Call volume overages: Fees are applied when you exceed the number of minutes or calls included in your plan.
Bilingual support: Often English-Spanish in the US, typically priced as a premium due to specialized staffing.
CRM integration: Additional charges for syncing call data or setting up custom workflows with customer management systems.
Appointment booking: Higher fees because booking calls require more agent time and detailed handling.
Weekend or after-hours coverage: Coverage outside standard business hours is sometimes billed separately.
Dedicated agents: A significant cost increase for businesses that require consistent or specialized representatives.
How quickly can a professional phone answering service be set up?
Most inbound call centers can onboard new clients within a few days to about one week for straightforward setups, including basic scripts, call handling instructions, routing rules, and testing.
This timeline suits businesses with minimal customization.
More complex requirements, such as detailed scripts, multi-step call flows, CRM or scheduling integrations, or compliance needs, can extend onboarding to one to two weeks or more, particularly in regulated industries like healthcare or legal.
