I’ve relied on Nexa as my primary answering service for customer calls, and they’ve been outstanding. Their after-hours and midday telephone answering services ensure no call goes unanswered, providing incredible convenience and ease of use. The team’s effective communication and excellent virtual receptionist service have consistently impressed me and made a real difference in managing customer interactions.
Was recommended Nexa for an after-hours answering service and things seemed fine until they weren’t. One of my colleagues noticed we hadn’t received a call summary in a while, and we eventually found out they hadn’t taken a single call in over TWO months. When I called to ask why calls weren’t being forwarded, and why we were never notified, I was told they “have too many customers to keep an eye on each one.” Despite this, we were billed every month, even though they didn’t answer one call. I was told a supervisor would follow up. No one ever did. Our IT team confirmed multiple times that it wasn't an issue on our end but that was what Nexa claimed it to be. After sending two additional emails with no response, I finally emailed to cancel. Only then did I hear back, receiving a cancellation form and a generic “sorry to see you go.” Don’t waste your time. This is not a legitimate answering service if customer support is essentially nonexistent.

As a small law office, we used AnswerFirst for about a year. We opted not to have calls recorded as their system has an irritating "beep" that sounds in the background while customers are on the phone. We thought things were going well. Several months later we signed up for CallRail, which recorded all incoming calls. We began to see a pattern of poorly handled calls. When we shared this information with management, and offered to provide the recording, they said "no thanks." The probems continued. For instance one caller asked if we did simple Wills. The AnswerFirst agent said, "No, we only do Estate Planning." After sharing these simple issues with management nothing changed. We asked if they could give us an adjustment to our bill based on the poorly handled responses. They said "No." We notified them this week we were switching carriers and they acted like they could care less. DO NOT use them as they cannot handle the simplest of calls.

Promotions are reserved for management’s favorites, while everyone else is stuck in the same dead-end role. Training is minimal, and turnover is sky-high because people either quit from exhaustion or get fired for not meeting unrealistic expectations. In conclusion, Connexus Resource Group is a call center nightmare—a place where employees are treated like cogs in a machine, worked to the bone, and discarded without a second thought. If you value your mental health, dignity, or fair pay, steer clear. There are better jobs out there—this one isn’t worth the suffering.

I would avoid working here if you can. I worked here for 5 years, and really hated it. Tried to find other work and was unable to for a long time. I ended up quitting because they were going to demote me after being a Team Lead for about 4.5 years. It was really disappointing and heartbreaking, especially since I loved my team of agents. The first couple of years were good, but after a while it just became unbearable. The last campaign I was on, Solutran, literally sucked the life out of me. My supervisor and my agents were great, but I had to fight for my agents to be treated fairly.The company goes by Connexus Resource Group now, they merged with a few other call centers in 2021. One good thing I can say about the merger was we were finally able to get PTO after not having any paid time off at all. The pay here sucks, I was only making $15.50 for being a team lead, and that was only after 5 years of tenure. Most agents were making around $11.50 to $13. It's very hard to get raises here, so if you want to work here and not be compensated properly this might be the right place for you. Avoid this place, it will only ruin your mental health and cause you more suffering.

I would not recommend this to other students seeking real academic or research support.
Please listen to me...do NOT even try. Their company is run by a bot until you might FINALLY get an answer. For someone who you want to help you write or edit, this isn't it. They should have more personalization from the start. In my intial email I wrote back that I was turned off by the "bot" answer. Then they followed up and I went back and forth with "Aaron" that his information about my area of research was wrong, that I wished he was more personal, and that if he couldn't reply with a genunie response I'd share out. Sure enough every reply was a blanket response from "Aaron" letting me know I could call their company for more information. There are great companies out there who are REAL from the START. Keep looking! Do not give your money to a company who can't even try to engage and didn't train their bot to filter when they needed a person to take over.

We have been using them for years, and every time we need to make an adjustment to the script integration, it turns into a nightmare. Something I can do in less than 30 minutes turns into 4-12 days of them making mistakes and misunderstanding things. There regular team that makes small adjustment not involving the integration are great. If you need integrations into your CRM it is probably best to find another company.

He will terminate employees for petty reasons like an outage in your area or low quality scores while in training. I researched over 40 hotline centers and conducted more than a dozen reference calls before I finally settled on CMS as the solution provider for my company of over 5,000 employees. The CMS transition completed earlier than scheduled and we were under budget both for installation and years of use. I repeated the same for my next employer of 10,000 employees a few years later. Both companies are still using the solution and even expanded services.
