We had a deeply disappointing experience with Catch Bangladesh during the Pahela Baishakh event held on April 13, 14, and 15, 2025. We paid BDT 35,000 for a 10x10 ft stall space based on several grand promises that were ultimately not fulfilled. These included appearances by high-profile performers like James and Xefer, the presence of a chief advisor to inaugurate the event, 24/7 stall security, clean water supply, and more space than what was actually allocated.Unfortunately, the stall was not even completed by the start of the event on the 13th, and the banner—originally promised a day in advance—arrived two days late. The lack of proper coordination, broken promises, and poor event management resulted in widespread dissatisfaction among both stall owners and visitors.Given our experience, we will not be working with Catch Bangladesh again and strongly advise others to exercise caution before entering into any agreements with them.

After months of delays, we commissioned an independent technical audit. The audit found that the implementation delivered was actually in PHP, with several areas flagged as structurally inconsistent with standard industry practices.To be clear, this is not subjective feedback — the findings were provided by independent engineers reviewing the delivered codebase. Their summary included:• “Delivered in PHP rather than the agreed Node.js stack.”• “Project structure does not follow industry-standard conventions.”• “Significant architectural debt that impacts scalability.”• “Not suitable as a production-ready build in its current state.”Additionally, we experienced ongoing issues obtaining several deliverables that were already fully paid for, including complete repository access, documentation, and environment setup. These items were repeatedly requested but not provided.We ultimately initiated a formal Subject Access Request, and the matter is now being handled through legal and regulatory channels to resolve the outstanding contractual issues.I’m posting this because many businesses rely on agencies to deliver accurate tech stacks, secure architectures, and transparent handovers.
