We are a small team with a handcrafted approach to web design and development. We have worked with a wide range of clients – large organizations (IBM, American Express), startups (Flatiron School, a WeWork Company), educational institutions (NYU, George Mason), non-profits (IMF, American Cancer Society) and beyond.

Our sites are fast, user-friendly, and innovative, but also easy to change. They are designed from scratch to fit the client’s brand perfectly, and to encourage their customers to act. We obsess, we are opinionated, we seek the truth, we do things right.

We were founded in New York City in 2011. Today we are headquartered in New Jersey with staff of eight distributed across the U.S. and Canada. We have a unique asynchronous working style that gives everyone on the team autonomy without leaving them untethered.

Nikki Munson
Executive Coordinator
Nikki is an executive coordinator living in Costa Mesa, CA whose expertise lies in organization. She has been part of many different types of businesses in this capacity and believes that helping others achieve their goals is a really great way to spend her days.
Andrew Heins
Developer, Head of Support
Andrew is a web developer living just outside Toronto, Canada. He pairs his front- and back-end development skills with a background in marketing, communications and project management to bring attractive, robust and effective solutions to Cantilever’s clients.
Ty Fujimura
Founder
Ty is a designer, developer, and manager. He combines his visual sense with strategic intuition to provide high-value design solutions for our clients. He has written on design for the Huffington Post and has been interviewed for CNN.com, VIBE Magazine and radio.
Chris Pau
Director of Operations
Chris is an administrative specialist. His expertise lies in project management and business process re-design and melds his broad experience from a consulting career at Accenture with a computer science background to bring structure and quality service to Cantilever’s clients.

Devops Engineer
Ernesto is our ops specialist. He is very passionate about all the processes related to the software development cycle, from gathering requirements to delivering finished code, and even understanding how customers use it and how it could be improved.
JT Fridsma
Designer, Frontend Developer
JT is a graphic designer and front-end developer currently based in Chattanooga, TN. With previous experience in both NYC and Austin, TX, he has had the opportunity to design major advertising campaigns, event experiences, rebrands, and more. His two cats love crashing video conference calls.
Rebecca Testrake
Studio Manager
Rebecca is our jane of all trades, optimizing the Cantilever team’s work with smart organization, project management, and scheduling. She is also tasked with QA, catching mistakes before they reach our clients.
Adrienne Travis
Developer
Adrienne wears a lot of hats: backend code monkey, ExpressionEngine and CraftCMS expert, HTML/CSS/JS crafter, SQL consultant, technology evangelist, and geek-of-all-trades. She’s always looking for ways to improve both her skills and her codebases, and she loves solving tricky problems for clients.
