The Auditor General's responsibility is to examine the finances and operations of the Nova Scotian government. The Nova Scotia Health Authority, the IWK Health Center, four government business enterprises, five partnership arrangements, and every government agency, regulated fund, public service, and governmental entity are all audited by us. We audit in order to be able to report on how well the province's government is handling its obligations and its financial resources. We offer the people of Nova Scotia impartial confidence that tax dollars are used wisely and productively.
