I had the great pleasure of working with Robin on a documentary in the summer of 2023. Robin approached me with the idea of documenting my life and work as a basketmaker on Salt Spring Island, BC. We spend 2.5 days together filming different sequences at various locations on the island. Robin arrived well prepared – he had a clear idea of the storyline he wished to capture. I found him both professional and pleasant to work with. He put me at ease straight away. Not only did I appreciate how professional he was, but also how open he was to my input and to following any spontaneous inspiration and ideas that came along during the filming.
