The Sunnyside, also known as Sunnyside VR, is a full-service media production company specializing in 360° video for virtual reality and social media. We also specialize in traditional video, drone photography/videography, interactive video, and augmented reality. From concept to completion, we can help you with any or all stages of your media production, whether that's for marketing, education, training, or any other kind of media you might need. Our founder, Emma, is widely recognized as an expert in the VR field and has been quoted in many publications about virtual reality. She has also been a video storyteller her whole life. Emma's passions took her to film school at the illustrious NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Her career, which spans more than a decade, has been spent primarily in non-fiction media of all kinds, including documentary, news, corporate, and interactive media. She has had the privilege to work with and learn from talented documentarians such as Academy Award-winner Ross Kauffman (Born Into Brothels) and Emmy-nominated Joe Fab (Paper Clips). Through her work in interactive media for museums, she learned to film 360° video in 2013, before virtual reality was even a glimmer on the mainstream radar, and immediately fell in love with the medium's ability to transport audiences. She founded her company in April of 2015 and has since worked with brands such as Mercedes, Estee Lauder, Twitter, Honda, Norwegian Cruise Lines, AARP, The Nature Conservancy, and more! Emma currently serves on the board of Women in Film & Video and of DCXR.
