Domino's just launched a new campaign that rewards customers who give back to the hard workers who bring pizza to their doorstep.
Starting April 29, the fast-food pizza chain's "You Tip, We Tip" initiative will give back to customers who tip their delivery drivers whenever they make a Domino's purchase.
When they buy Domino's online and tip their drivers $3 or more, they will receive a $3 coupon that they can use for their next online Domino's purchase.
A Customer-Forward Campaign
According to a press release, this initiative marks the first time a quick-service restaurant has given back to its customers for their generosity towards drivers.
In 2022, Domino's launched a similar campaign, "Carryout Tips," that gave $3 back to online customers who picked up their orders.
Domino's SVP and Chief Brand Officer Kate Trumbull expounded on the idea behind the latest campaign.
"Domino's drivers have been hustling to deliver hot, delicious pizzas since 1960, and we love that customers have been tipping them for their great service since day one," she shared.
"But these days, everywhere you go, there's a tip screen. The pressure to tip is real, even when no extra service is provided. So, we decided to flip the script and show our appreciation by tipping customers back."
Regardless of the tip amount (as long as it's at least $3), customers can only earn one $3 coupon per order. Redemption is also limited to one "You Tip, We Tip" coupon per day.
However, there is no limit to the number of days pizza lovers can take advantage of this promotion.
Domino's has not given details about the exact duration of the "You Tip, We Tip" deal, so it appears that it will run for the foreseeable future.
