Sports streaming service Fubo TV has just launched its new out-of-home (OOH) campaign that takes a jab at Disney+, Fox and Warner Bros. Discovery over their plans to create a joint sports streaming venture.
The billboard, seen in Washington D.C., aims to gather the support of government officials regarding the company's lawsuit filed against the three media giants, which resulted in billions of dollars of damage, a Fubo spokesperson told DesignRush.
"Remember, the Titans are trying to screw you," the advert writes, referencing one of Disney's own sports dramas, "Remember the Titans."
On the other side of the billboard, Fubo also made a nod to the 1989 sports comedy "Major League," with the text saying, "Juuuust a bit outside of the Laws meant to protect fans."
Notably, the spot also took visual cues from Walt Disney's ads by copying the typeface of its campaigns in this year's Super Bowl.
Fubo's 'Save My Sports' Campaign
Fubo's latest OOH push comes as part of a wider campaign launched last month.
The #SaveMySports campaign marks the beginning of the streaming service's legal battle against Walt Disney, FOX, Warner Bros. Discovery and partnering companies for their "anti-competitive tactics."
The company argues that the media giants' joint effort aims to illegally hinder its growth while monopolizing sports streaming.

The campaign, backed by a dedicated microsite, features Fubo Co-Founder and CEO David Gandler expressing concerns about the proposed joint venture.
"Right now, we can’t offer you a bundle of just the sports channels you want, at the right price. These content partners require us to license and broadcast to you channels you do not want. This inflates the price we have to charge you."
"Monopolies also don’t need to keep coming up with innovative and intuitive product features to make the sports streaming experience the best it can be," he added.
