Global fast-food chain KFC is set to tantalize taste buds once again with the launch of "Chizza," which is a combination of fried chicken and pizza-inspired flavors, in the United States.
The Chizza, a global sensation originating from the Philippines in 2015, features two crispy fried chicken filets generously topped with zesty marinara sauce, gooey mozzarella cheese and crispy pepperoni.

"Fried chicken and pizza collaborated to create something even better — the Chizza," KFC US CMO Nick Chavez expressed.
Starting February 26, patrons nationwide can savor the combination of the unique product.
How the 'Chizza' Rose to Stardom
Since its debut, the Chizza has garnered international acclaim, making its way to various countries including South Korea, Taiwan, India, Thailand, Germany, Spain and Mexico.
Now, Americans can indulge in this delectable fusion for the first time. "The fan-favorite mashup is finally available in the U.S. after making its way around the world — try it while you can!" urged Chavez.

To celebrate the Chizza's arrival, KFC also transformed its restaurant at 242 E 14th St. in New York City into a unique "Chizzeria" pop-up.
The Chizzeria promises a modern twist on the classic pizzeria experience, offering hot and fresh Chizza exclusively. Here, customers experienced the Chizza before anyone else, free of charge, from February 23 to February 24.
KFC Taps on Influencers
The accompanying Chizza advertisement features social media creator GrannysOffHerRocker portraying an Italian "Nonna," reassuring viewers that KFC's new menu item is indeed distinct from pizza – it's Chizza.
