McDonald's and Krispy Kreme have announced a new nationwide partnership, offering the popular doughnuts at McDonald's restaurants across the United States starting the second half of this year.
The collaboration follows a successful trial run in 160 McDonald's restaurants across Kentucky, which sparked interest and demand for the iconic doughnuts.
The partnership will see three popular Krispy Kreme doughnuts available at McDonald's locations, both individually and in boxes of six, starting from breakfast and continuing throughout the day.
These include Krispy Kreme's Original Glazed Doughnut, Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles Doughnnut and the Chocolate Iced Kreme-Filled Doughnut.
Fans of both franchises can expect a complete nationwide rollout by the end of 2026.
Boosting Breakfast Options
Tariq Hassan, McDonald’s USA’s chief marketing and customer experience officer, shares that the strategic partnership gives both fast-food giants the chance to unlock new business opportunities.
"Since the launch of breakfast nearly 50 years ago, we’ve continued to offer new menu items, flavors and experiences that have made McDonald’s an irreplaceable part of fans’ morning routines," Hassan said in a press release.
"Our fans’ love for Krispy Kreme runs deep, and we can’t wait to make it even easier for them to satisfy their sweet tooth at McDonald’s restaurants across the country,” he added.
Krispy Kreme President and CEO Josh Charlesworth also reveals that the top request the company gets from consumers every day is to bring its doughnuts to their towns.
"Partnering with McDonald’s on a national scale will provide our fans and doughnut lovers unprecedented daily access to fresh doughnuts and the joy that is Krispy Kreme," Charlesworth stated.

In celebration of the partnership, the global doughnut brand also offered a complimentary Original Glazed Doughnut to all customers that visited its U.S. stores between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. yesterday.
Charlesworth explains that making Krispy Kreme more accessible to fans through McDonald's will allow it to double its points of access by the end of 2026.
"The partnership accelerates the development of our existing Delivered Fresh Daily channel, creating operating leverage through distribution density and production utilization."
