Microsoft's Copilot App Is Now On Android

Microsoft has quietly released its new AI-powered Copilot as an app for Android users.

Copilot for Android, found on the Google Play Store, lets users access Microsoft's Copilot without the need for the Bing mobile app.

While the Copilot app has been available on Android for almost a week, the tech giant has yet to announce when it will roll out the AI service for iOS users.

In the meantime, Apple users can enjoy the Copilot experience with the Bing app on their iPad and iPhone devices.

The Copilot app on Android shares a lot of similarities with OpenAI's popular chatbot ChatGPT.

The free-to-use app provides users with the typical chatbot features but also allows them to generate images through DALL-E 3, have access to expanded search capabilities within Bing and help them draft text for emails and documents. 

It can also interpret code, understand videos and Q&A in Edge, as well as understand images better with Search Grounding. 

Additionally, Copilot for Android gives users free access to OpenAI's latest GPT-4 model — a feature users have to pay for with ChatGPT. 

Microsoft officially rebranded Bing Chat and Bing Chat Enterprise to Copilot earlier this month, intending to offer users a standalone AI-powered tool.
