Basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal has partnered with Pepsi and Reebok to create a limited-edition sneaker celebrating his 32-year endorsement deal with the beverage brand.
‘Sneak’er, designed by The Shoe Surgeon, is a unique design of Reebok PUMP Shaq Attaqs that incorporates Pepsi's signature colors and a Pepsi Mini chamber in the soles.
"Pepsi has been a core part of my career since the moment I joined the NBA," Shaq, who is also the president of Basketball at Reebok, said in a press release.
"My partnership with Pepsi means so much to me because we're always out here having fun, innovating, bringing the noise. Now, I'm pumped that I never have to be without my Pepsi Mini Cans."
Only 22 pairs of the shoes were produced, and they only come in Shaq’s size 22, making each pair a highly collectible item for sneaker enthusiasts and Shaq fans alike.
“While a Pepsi Mini Can is small enough to fit in anyone's pocket, Shaq is one of the only people with a shoe big enough to comfortably fit one in his shoe, so we can't wait for consumers to get their hands (and feet!) on this once-in-a-lifetime collab,” Pepsi CMO Todd Kaplan explained.
Fans can enter sweepstakes to win a pair of ‘Sneak’ers by posting “a photo or video on social showcasing their love for Pepsi Minis just like Shaq does” using the hashtags #PepsiMinis and #Sweepstakes.
This is not the first time Shaq has collaborated with Reebok on a sneaker design.
In 2019, he released a line of Shaq Attaq sneakers that paid homage to his alma mater, Louisiana State University (LSU).
