I was recruited by this company for a contract role, and that process--although a bit high pressured--went smoothly enough (recruiter was very nice, but demanded answers and a commitment somewhat urgently, with some oddly probing questions). Progressed to the interview stage, and was told I'd hear back later that day or next.But now, a week later, I've been completely ghosted! No update, no follow up whatsoever (despite me leaving a message after several days, requesting one--only to be ignored). Perplexing, but I suspect that the recruiter likely oversold the client's interest and my chances as a candidate (false promise on his part, but lesson learned on mine).At this level of advanced and specialized roles and salaries for which you are recruiting, it's completely unprofessional to not even have the courtesy to follow up and provide a candidate with feedback, either way. Very disrespectful of my time. "
