Our video production company was started by a guy, coincidentally named Guy, who didn’t go to school for film or ever work in a film production company. He came from working on TV shows for Comedy Central and producing morning radio. Making videos was his hobby.

Guy lost his radio job in 2009, right in the middle of the Great Recession. After sending out 150 resumes and not going on even one interview, he decided to start a video production company in Chicago. Business was…let’s say, slow at the start. His first project was to edit a man’s puppy videos to music for which he was paid a whopping $50.

He kept going. And here we are today.

When we reflect, the reason for our explosive growth in the early days was not the technical quality of the videos, and it sure wasn’t the marketing strategy. Simply put: the videos were entertaining. People actually liked watching them.

It’s all about entertainment to us.
