Patrick O'Toole is to officially become the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Burger King (BK) on February 6. Before BK, O'Toole was the CMO of Pepsico's Mountain Dew.
O'Toole will be heading the burger brand's marketing efforts to increase its traffic and sales. He will also focus on elevating the guest experience on BK's ongoing Reclaim the Flame plan.
"Pat is joining this team to strengthen and build on our existing plans in collaboration with our Franchisees, leveraging his impressive background and past experiences," Burger King North America President Tom Curtis explains.
Curtis also enthusiastically welcomes O'Toole to the BK team announcing, “We are excited to welcome Pat to the Burger King leadership team and broader BK family.”
"Pat joins us at a milestone moment for the brand and brings the right combination of perspective, experience, and expertise to position BK for success in 2023 and beyond," Curtis adds, hinting at a more aggressive marketing campaign for Burger King in the future.
O’Toole has 14 years of experience manning PepsiCo's marketing strategies, with Mountain Dew as his last handle. He also served in key positions at Black & Decker and GE.
