TGI Friday’s is a restaurant chain with locations in multiple cities across the United States. They serve an assortment of American food and drinks from burger to steak and beers to cocktails.
TGI Friday's wanted something that would resonate with their Bar Heritage. They were searching for something that would not only increase brand awareness through humorous content but also be culturally-relevant and interactive. They introduced the idea of a Elf on the Shelf like campaign, officially named “The Shaker on the Bar”. The concept was there but it lacked micro content ideas and production.
We wanted to take an existing idea to a new level with fresh insight, perspective, and original content. Our team created multiple stop-motion videos that incorporated a “Holiday Relief” theme including being single, creating new traditions, interacting with family, and meeting up with friends around the holiday season. These videos were posted to Twitter and Instagram stories.
I currently run one of the top social media agencies, Sociallyin. We help medium-sized and large brands tell compelling stories and sell through social media. We have worked with leading brands including Dick’s Sporting Goods, Toyota, A3C Conference, and Festival, Chick-fil-A, & . Dairy Queen.

BEHIND THE LENS - INSIDE THE STORY
In 2016 Panasonic released a revolutionary camera called the GH5. Thousands of filmmakers, hobbyist, prosumers, and families utilized the powerful video capabilities to transform the way they captured their films, vlogs, memories, and videos. CRFTSHO fell in love with the camera as it added tremendous benefit to our arsenal of story tools. We began sharing our experiences with Panasonic’s GH5 on YouTube in an educational vlog format.
As we prepared for a particularly challenging shoot we decided to test the GH5 image quality against that of our RED cameras. The results were outstanding. The video landed online went viral (within the filmmaking community). This caught the attention of Panasonic’s Director of Marketing. He reached out to us and several NDA’s later we were commissioned to create a video showcasing upcoming firmware which would again change the landscape of filmmaking.
The 2.0 version of their firmware would allow users to film on anamorphic lenses in an impressive 6K high-resolution format. We knew immediately that a simple camera test would NOT tell the real story behind this remarkable innovation from Panasonic. So we approached the concept from a pure filmmaking standpoint; we crafted a narrative science fiction, adventure film called “Heirloom”.
Operating within the budget while keeping production values as cinematic as possible became quite a challenge as we did not just want to settle for a single location – the script and story needed Indiana Jones meets Mad Max style adventure, which meant it needed extremely unique locations. Luckily, the state of Alabama has some of the most diverse and unique locales for filming. We crawled through dusty caves carrying a lens worth $70,000. We filmed in the auburn tinted, rust covered home of tetanus. We borrowed time a set originally built for Tim Burton’s “Big Fish”. We made an 8-minute epic.
Drew has 20+ plus years in video production and marketing. He has directed five award-winning feature films along with dozens of results-driven commercials and branded content videos. Like Jeff, Drew is passionate about clients, small batch beverages, cinematography, and food.
Jeff is an award-winning photographer and colorist. With countless hours invested in various productions, Jeff’s knowledge of video delivery coupled with his creative style grants him a major competitive edge. Like Drew, Jeff loves clients, small batch beverages, color correction, and food.
