Seems sketchy. Left a voice mail and sent me the description of position that, if they had taken the time to review my resume would have seen, I am blatantly not qualified for. The description said an advanced degree is required. I only have an undergraduate degree. Email also requested the last 4 of my SS#.

I have also found Fortira to use very deceptive practices here in New Jersey. Most recently a job they were filling and wanted to submit me on. A day later I agreed to being submitted and I was told The “position is closed”. It took multiple questions before getting the truth which was they had already submitted their quota of candidates. He must have thought I would not seek out that same job with another staffing firm. Then he said they Just received another opening to fill. We discussed. I asked what the rate was and reminded him my rate is typically much higher than what his company offers. After going back-and-forth with him asking me my rate (always love when they answer a question with a question) he finally provided a figure. When I said it was lower than my usual I have to think about it he suddenly offered another $15 an hour. Candidates know this is usually BS and I said I didn’t trust him or his company. They have played this game before. When I insisted on knowing how he could offer $15 more and it be legit ( As opposed to stating they have submitted me when in fact they have not but were trying to remove me from the pool of potential candidates) he stated he offered me this lower rate because weeks prior I had agreed to this rate for a very different job.Now mind you the entire time I was questioning him he thought it was funny and was Actually laughing. Totally disrespectful but what else can you expect from this “Kind” of company (and you know what I mean by that).Know your worth and don’t be scammed by them.Know who the liars are.

This agency contacted me about a contract opportunity with one of their clients in Indianapolis, Indiana, where I live. I did a phone screening and an interview with the client. It took them 5 weeks to get back to me. They offered me the position, but I had taken a part time position and wanted a couple of days to think about it. I had interviews with other companies for permanent positions that came up. I called back to say that I would like to take the position, but I needed to give 2 weeks notice at my part time job. They said they would "get back to me." a week ago. Luckily, I was offered and have accepted a permanent position from one of the employer's with whom I had subsequently interviewed with, because evidently they have moved on to another candidate. This is a very unprofessional agency. They do not communicate effectively, and they treat candidates poorly.

It's also called as twin towers of Cybage. It is located near East Avenue. The other Cybage office is in West Avenue. These are two similar towers. There is a fountain within the campus with some greenery. There are either pool or table tennis tables on each floor. The work culture is nice which you find in other locations as well.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a DevOps consulting company?

A DevOps consulting company helps businesses improve how they build, test, and deploy software by combining development and IT operations practices. Their goal is to speed up delivery, reduce errors, and improve system reliability.

They assess current workflows, recommend tools, and guide teams in automating processes like code integration, testing, and infrastructure management. This helps clients release updates faster and operate more efficiently.

What does a DevOps consulting company do to improve your software development lifecycle?

A DevOps consulting company analyzes your current development and deployment process to find delays, bottlenecks, or manual steps. They then introduce automation, more efficient tools, and streamlined workflows.

They often set up continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, infrastructure as code, and monitoring systems. Their assistance makes your software development faster, more reliable, and easier to scale.

Which types of businesses benefit from hiring a DevOps consulting company?

Any business that builds, maintains, or updates software regularly can benefit from hiring a DevOps consulting company, especially those with complex systems, frequent deployments, or scaling needs. This includes tech startups, SaaS companies, e-commerce platforms, and enterprise IT teams.

Companies with legacy systems, manual workflows, or slow release cycles also benefit from this approach. DevOps consulting helps them modernize operations, reduce downtime, and speed up product delivery.

What services do DevOps consulting companies typically offer?

DevOps consulting companies offer services like CI/CD pipeline setup, infrastructure as code, cloud migration, automated testing, containerization, and monitoring/logging systems

They may also provide security integration (DevSecOps), team training, tool selection, and workflow optimization. The goal is to automate and streamline the entire software delivery process.

What tech stacks and platforms do top DevOps consulting companies typically work with?

Top DevOps consulting companies work with various tools. For example, cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. For automation and infrastructure, they use tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Pulumi.

They also work with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, and CircleCI. Containerization is often done with Docker and Kubernetes. For monitoring and logging, they use Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and Datadog.

How much do DevOps consulting services cost in 2025?

DevOps consulting prices in 2025 vary widely based on region, provider expertise, and project complexity. Hourly rates can range from $20 to $ 250 or more. Small-scale engagements may stay under $25,000, while larger, complex transformations often cost between $25,000 and $50,000 or more

How long does it take to implement a DevOps transformation with a consulting company?

A DevOps transformation can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months, depending on the size and complexity of your systems, teams, and goals.

Small projects with clear goals may take 4 to 8 weeks. Larger transformations involving multiple teams, legacy systems, or full cloud migrations can take 3 to 6 months or more. The timeline is set after an initial assessment and planning phase.

What are the top-rated DevOps consulting companies listed on DesignRush in 2025?

What should you look for when hiring a DevOps consulting company?

Look for a company with a proven track record, strong technical skills across modern DevOps tools, and experience in your industry or tech stack. Check client reviews, case studies, and certifications (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes, Azure).

Consider how well they communicate, their approach to training your team, and whether they offer long-term support. A good consulting partner should focus on knowledge transfer and measurable results, not just tool setup.

What questions should you ask a DevOps consulting company before starting a project?

Important questions to ask a DevOps consulting company include:

  1. What experience do you have with our tech stack and industry? – Ensures they understand your specific needs.
  2. Can you share case studies or client references? – Helps verify their track record and results.
  3. What tools and practices do you recommend for our environment? – Reveals their approach and adaptability.
  4. How do you handle knowledge transfer and team training? – Makes sure your team can manage systems after the project.
  5. What does your typical DevOps implementation timeline look like? – Sets clear expectations for time and delivery.

What mistakes should you avoid when selecting a DevOps consulting partner?

Avoid choosing a partner based only on price or name recognition. A low-cost option may lack depth, while a well-known firm may not fit your specific needs. Always check technical expertise, relevant experience, and communication style.

Don’t skip the discovery phase or ignore red flags like vague answers, rigid tool preferences, or lack of training plans. A good partner should tailor solutions, explain clearly, and help your team become self-sufficient.

What’s the difference between DevOps consulting and traditional IT consulting?

DevOps consulting focuses on automating and improving the entire software delivery process — from development to deployment — using tools like CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, and infrastructure as code.

Traditional IT consulting often deals with general IT needs like system setup, network security, hardware, or help desk support. DevOps is more specialized and focused on speed, reliability, and continuous improvement in software delivery.
