I hired Naked Development in 2022 to build a new version of my mobile app. I paid $203,000 upfront (spread over 6 months — essentially everything I had saved from my first year in business), and was told the app would be completed in five months, by Fall 2022.Instead, the project turned into a year of delays, “almost done” updates, and declining involvement from their team. My very small internal team and I ended up doing much of the project management and QA work ourselves because progress had stalled so severely. Despite constant reassurances, no functional product was ever delivered.By mid-2023, I hired multiple external development teams to assess the code. Every single one independently concluded that the app was non-functional, unstable, not scalable, and could not be launched. They warned it would crash immediately and required a complete rebuild. I then hired a neutral third-party auditor (with zero connection to any agency) and his report confirmed the same findings.After paying over $200K, I had nothing usable. When I factored in delays, internal time lost, expert audits, and the cost of rebuilding from scratch, the financial impact to my business exceeded $500,000.After multiple attempts to resolve the situation privately were unsuccessful, I filed a lawsuit, which is now a matter of public record (Superhuman Inc. v. Naked Development). The case is set for trial in early 2026. While litigation is never something a founder hopes for, at a certain point it became the only responsible path given the evidence and the financial damage.I strongly recommend extreme caution when considering this agency. "

Significant Financial Loss & Unfinished Work: You signed a contract on February 23, 2021, and invested $200,000 - $250,000, paying monthly. Despite completing all payments before the app was ever finished, the project dragged on for almost three years, and you only received a 50% completed product—far from what was promised.Long Delays & Lack of Deliverables: Naked Development was supposed to provide a fully functional app, UX design, marketing materials, a website, alpha & beta testing, and investor support. Instead, they only delivered a branding book and a basic one-page website with a "Coming Soon" message. No marketing assistance was ever given.Misrepresentation & Additional Costs: After waiting nearly three years, you had a Zoom call with John Driscoll, who claimed the software was outdated and needed more money to complete—despite having already been fully paid. He also stated that the app was "completed and delivered." However, this was completely false.Had to Hire Another Development Team: Due to Naked Development’s failure, you had to hire another dev shop to salvage and complete the project. This new team has already been working on the app for almost 4 months and has put in over 1,000+ hours to fix and complete what was supposedly already "delivered."Poor Communication & Legal Avoidance: From January 2024 to June 2024, Naked Development ignored all communication. After three months of silence, you involved lawyers, but they continued to brush you off and refused to take responsibility.Overall Verdict: The experience was disheartening, stressful, and upsetting.
